1.) Prior to confirming the reservation, we specifically inquired about the king bedroom, with smart tv, being located on the first floor and received affirmative confirmation. The first floor bedroom is a queen, with no tv, which is contrary to the listing description as well as the confirmation we received. 2.) Prior to arrival, we inquired about a gate entry code and received affirmative confirmation that there was no code required. We arrived at a dark, gated entry that required a magnetic card to enter. After winding around the perimeter of the community, we found a manned guard gate with dozens of cars in a very slow queue. All the while we were never really sure whether we were in the right place or what the rules for entry were. 3.) Listing did not make evident that the community is an *active* construction zone. Non-stop hammering, drilling, banging and heavy machinery noises. Construction workers dug an enormous hole which caused our water service to go away for a couple of hours. We received no advance notice; neither did we receive notice of how long water service would be interrupted. 4.) Lastly, the listing made it explicitly clear that there would be no cancellation or refund allowed once instant booking was confirmed; what it did not make clear was that a required 85 “default insurance” fee would be added. We do not believe that these significant misrepresentations of the unit abide by VRBO customer service standards.
