We traveled to this Florida home with a party of 8 adults. The house was large enough for our group and served its purpose, but it clearly needs better maintenance and inspection between guests.Several maintenance issues were noticeable upon arrival. The upstairs bathroom doorknob only had one screw remaining and was hanging off. The second-floor AC struggled badly — set at 76 when we arrived, yet still 78 inside. It took nearly 24 hours to cool down and temperatures continued rising during the day. Villa Direct advised the units normally should not be set below 73, though we were told we could run them at 71 during our stay. The garage/movie room AC did not work properly and stayed in the 80s most of the time. The pool table was heavily stained, had a broken pocket, and the rack was duct taped together. There was no chalk for the pool sticks, and the room layout made the table nearly unusable anyway.Cleanliness and upkeep also need attention. We found dishes with old food stuck on them, dried Popsicle drips on a doorway my wife cleaned herself, broken recliners, wobbly lamps, a fan with broken blades, and a broken iron. The outdoor projector remote was eventually found stuffed in the living room couch cushions.Overall, the home is functional for large groups, but a basic inspection checklist between guests would go a long way.
