We get to Orlando late like 11:30 at night to airport by time get rental car and to house was 3:am get to house and there was holes in the walls hair in sinks and showers blood everywhere on the carpet look like a party house and some one got in fight broken mirrors bandaid and rat feces beside the bedding the house smelled like old bar get there let host no and they told me that what we booked in the picture house looked great don’t stay here I’m battleing the host now for my refund we move out at 9:am the same day we arrived the house was unlivable also had mold going in the kids bed room my daughter had three asthma attacks and had to call her doctor for a different inhaler because of how bad the house was taken care of don’t let the host scam you like he trying to do to my family

Disappointing Experience at Shine Villas, Davenport FLI recently stayed at Shine Villas in Davenport, FL, for a seven-days vacation and was thoroughly disappointed. Though the property is in a desirable neighborhood with a good layout, several critical issues ruined our stay.Property Condition: The poorly maintained home had insects, dirty walls, stained carpets, and bathrooms with poor drainage causing water pooling, making overall cleanliness subpar.Amenities: We paid extra for pool heating during our December stay to celebrate birthdays, but it was never activated, significantly impacting our enjoyment.Host Communication: After reporting the pool issue, the host claimed to send a technician who never arrived. Our attempts to reach the host went unanswered.Additional Issues: Refrigerator didn't keep items cold; poor mattresses and smelly bedding made sleep uncomfortable; poor condition pans and foul-smelling sofa; house didn't match VRBO images.Financial Concerns: We demand a refund. Our family felt deprived and utterly disappointed, primarily due to the non-functional pool heating—a significant factor in booking this property, and its failure severely impacted our experience.We documented the issues with photos and plan to share a video review.I advise renters to exercise caution and consider alternatives that prioritize cleanliness and reliability. While the property was in a great neighborhood, the home was not well cared for. Insects were present, walls and carpet were very dirty. We loved the home layout and amenities but the house needs a good deep cleaning. I would consider using VRBO again, just not the same property

Overall we enjoyed the home. The community was nice and felt safe. When we arrived it was a little confusion at the gate with our names not being on the list, but the host responded quickly once I reached out. The home looked like the pictures,but maybe from like 5 years ago. It was a few cosmetic issues that need to be addressed like the walls getting repainted and the carpet upstairs being replaced. The mattresses in all the rooms weren’t the best and definitely could be replaced. Despite the few issues, I would stay here again.

My family booked this home under an emergency evacuation. The home is nice and has a lot of space. The onmy issue was the cleanliness og the home there were stains in the carpets all through the house and the walls were not clean. Once a deep cleaning is done this home will be above a 5. star rainh. star

We recently stayed at a spacious 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom home in the Solterra Resort community, rented through VRBO. Our family of 15 had a good overall experience, though there were some issues. Pros: • The house was large and beautiful, offering ample space for our family to spread out and enjoy our time together. • The resort's location was convenient for accessing local attractions and amenities. • Despite some problems, we had a great time and appreciated the communal areas for family activities. Cons: • Noticeable stains on the carpet affected the home's overall cleanliness. • The couches showed significant wear and tear, making them less comfortable and visually appealing. • We experienced water leaks from the ceiling during showers, which was quite inconvenient. • The foosball table lacked a ball, which was disappointing. • The pool had leaves, small bugs, and some green algae, making swimming less enjoyable. • A hole in the pool screen allowed lizards to enter. While entertaining for the kids, it was unpleasant for the adults. • The garbage disposal didn’t work, and the maintenance staff, who spoke little English, couldn't fix it. • The laundry room sign indicated 15 pool towels, but we only found 13. We bought extra towels to avoid the $25 per towel fee. • The clubhouse was closed more often than open, especially during rainy weather. Despite these cons, we had a memorable vacation. With a few improvements, this property could be an even better place to stay.

The house itself was nice and we enjoyed the space very much. I did pay for pool heat that we never got. I even messaged when I booked if I could pay for an extra day so they could turn on the pool heat before we arrived since it was January and my birthday as well as my man's birthday. The lack of pool heat honestly kind of ruined it for me. They did end up refunding the money to me but still, I honestly tried to get it on before we ever came. There were no guests before us so me paying for them to come out the day before should have not been an issue at all. If you don't care about the pool and spa then this place is nice and you will have a good stay,

The property was in a great area a nice home but definitely can use some updates the home can use some paint and definitely needs new furniture as far as the living area downstairs and a few things upstairs also needs more towels to accommodate the number of guests that the house can hold

The layout of the house was great for our group of 13 (two families and two sets of grandparents). House was updated but carpet is worn and there is evidence of wear and tear throughout. There were limited linens (bath towels, beach towels and extra pillow cases for the extra pillows). Pool/spa heat was awesome! The location was good for access to Disney, depending on traffic about 30 minutes to the parks. As a former review said, getting into the resort can be a long wait!

This was one of my favorite vacations! I would give the location thumbs up for privacy and quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the resort to use their amenities, was good. Groceries we had delivered a couple of times. Gas station is not far for purchasing beer and milk and eggs and bread if needed. Be ready to deal with traffic if you go anywhere outside of davenport. Now the house. The alarm was not activated when we arrived. So we did not have to mess with that. Walking into the house, we were like this is not what the pictures showed. One of the reviews someone put on before we booked was spot on. Should of believed the review. There is only 3 chairs out by the pool to sit by the table out there. The vents in the ceiling need cleaning. A cooler for beverages we had to purchase and left there for other renters. A good coat of paint on all the walls and a new area rug and pillows on the couches, clean the table under the glass that protects it. Beach towels had 7, there was not 15 or more towels as it stated on the sign in the laundry room. Silverware was limited. No salt and pepper or your everyday staples, so you will need to purchase that as well. Not much for little kids to do, besides swimming and playing hide and seek. We purchased swim toys and things for them to do. Look for a house that has a game room for little people to do if you are bringing a certain age group of kids. After we got over how much updating the house needed...it was fine. We would not go back to that location. But will go back to florida.

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the pool and hot tub! There was plenty of space and the rooms were huge! It was awesome that all of our kids had a separate bathroom. The property manager responded promptly to all my questions. We will definitely return.

If you are going to Disney, the location is perfect! If you're not going to the parks, the traffic is very busy and it takes ~30 minutes to get anywhere. Traffic getting into the Soltera Gate is also always busy. The home provided enough space for our 3 families. It did not feel crowded. The kitchen was well stocked with various cookware and utensils. The refrigerator was large enough for food for our 3 families, but we ended up using a cooler for beverages. The home is well lived in and a little beat-up, but everything seemed to function just fine. If going in the winter, definitely pay for pool heat. In our experience the hot tub was very hot, but it didn't seem to heat the pool at all. But the kids enjoyed going in and out of the hot tub and pool. It was nice to have a private pool and the home backs up to woods so it is more private than other homes in the resort. The resort amenities were nice, however the resort pool quickly reached capacity many of the days during our stay, so we were turned away. But it was nice to have the private pool to return to!!!

We had a great week and this house worked well for our week at Disney. The house was a bit tired and could use some updating. THE BEST was the Communicatons with the Reality Company and the quick response with the maintenance team for several minor issues. Be aware that there is a lot of traffic due to construction around the Champions Gate Exit that will cause your trip into Disney to be around 35 min. Overall we had a great week.
