We stayed at the Misty Mountain Lodge over Nov 1-2 weekend for a wedding in Gettysburg. All of the positive comments you read for the property are speaking the truth. There were a number of little add ons that showed attention to detail for guest comfort. Three different kinds of coffee pots A Keurig,an espresso maker, and a drip coffee pot. With flavored syrups supplied by the property owner which is just ONE of the little touches that just add to enjoyment. The property is gorgeous outside and in, it is just far enough out of Gettysburg that you are feeling as if you are out in a peaceful serene area and is obly 15 minutes to Gettysburg and you are in the middle of town. We had some issues on check in night with the lock keypad but the owner was unbelievably responsive and I would not say 1 bad thing about that experience. He did everything he could to make sure we got in and had what we needed. So the true test of a VRBO property is what happens if there is a problem and how the owner handles it and I would say Elmer gets 100 percent positkve feedback on that., I hope we have the opportunity to stay at this property again with a big group because I would definitely love it. It is one of the better VRBO experiences I've had and I have stayed at several If you are looking for a property in the are that can acoommodate a large group. Look no more - book it and thank me later! :)

The house is beautiful but the cleanliness is lacking. The shower curtain was covered in mold and mildew. Kitchen faucet and cupboards were broken and drawers were filthy inside. My cousin had a camera scanner and every mirror beeped in all bathrooms. The children’s bedroom set off the scanner around the light switch. We also found a used needle outside on the patio.

This place has everything!

Amazing stay for a trip with some friends from college. We had so much fun playing pickleball, hanging out around the fire, and enjoying the lounging space through the house. We will be back!

Would definitely stay again!

Nothing to complain about, the host was super easy to get in contact with and made this process easy answering every question quickly. A group of 16 stayed here and it was perfect! Kitchen also comes adequately equipped as we were able to easily make dinner here. Beautiful property and perfect amenities, we forgot chargers and this place had one in every room! 10:10 location as well.

The property was a wonderful for us. Dog friendly, large, well appointed, fun and near enough to down town Gettysburg to be a perfect fit for our family. We did not get to the pool table, Pickleball Court or outdoor fire place! Ahaha! We will need to gone back! Thank-you for your care…

Wonderful mountain retreat

We absolutely loved Misty Mountain Lodge! The listing was extremely accurate. The house is unbelievable - with plenty of room, places to relax, and activities like the pool room/game room and outside hot tub, soaking tub, and fire pit. It was an awesome home for hosting our extended family gathering for Christmas - 13 people ranging from grandparents to 3rd graders. The host also provided wonderful little touches - little bags of snacks, a decorated Christmas tree, wood for the firepit, soaps/shampoos in the bathroom, etc. It's very quiet on the mountain and peaceful. Several apple orchards are along the drive up. There are walking paths a short drive away at Micheaux State Forest; Gettysburg & Fairfield are 15 minute drives We would highly recommend this house for a big group looking for a mountain retreat to relax.
