Cute little farm house that meet our needs. Intranet/Wifi was excellent. Loved watching the deer right out the front window. Everything we needed for our stay was available. The outside could use TCL as the property is over grown with weeds which prevented us from sitting outside; other then that we had a nice mini vacation.

First impression when I pulled up to the house and got out. The trash smelled like dead fish, all weekend long the smell was horrible bad. First night my wife stood up all night till 6am the next day doing the Laundry: bed sheets, blankets, pillow cases for all of the beddings. As there was hair and left over human belongings still on the sheets and blanks. To me this was not washed nor changed for the next people staying. I would not recommend this place. Find a better and cleaner place for stay.

Five friends from the Twin Cities really enjoyed our two-night stay during a pheasant hunting trip. The house was spacious and comfortable, great kitchen, and close to town as well as to a lot of public land.

This is our fourth time there. The upkeep on the actual property is failing. Very nice place to stay, has all the comfort we need. Hand soap, dish towels, dish soap, and propane. None of that was there. Could be an oversight. We really like the place, just curious if someone else is managing it or it has gone to a corporate management company. The surrounding area is very overgrown. Garage could be cleaned up. It rained, would have been nice to pull the boat in. The deer, pheasants were great. We do miss seeing the chickens. The property is needing attention. We like staying there . Thank you.

Cozy and relaxing

We had an amazing weekend. So much to do from swimming to fishing at Bigstone Lake. We woke to deers in the front yard. Great place to stay while getting away from the cities. Dean was an amazing host!!! Definitely recommend!!!

Our group of 6 high school buddies had a great time staying at this comfortable house for our annual pheasant hunting trip. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was our second stay here. See you next year!

Great stay!

We had such a nice time staying here. We liked the location to Big Stone Lake State Park and Ortonville. We had all the supplies needed to cook. Everyone had a nice relaxing stay and we even saw deer, pheasants, rabbits and a visiting cow. There was a cute kitten at the house that was spoiled by our family. I recommend this home for larger groups. We had 7 in our party and enjoyed the space.

Great location and pet friendly!

We had a great 2 night stay here for our fishing vacation. The property was exactly as described and it worked perfectly for us. We enjoyed the wildlife views from the property and close proximity to the boat launch. The house was clean and had more than enough space for us. We will definitely rent if we visit the area again!
