The design is based on the concept of the “barrel-carrying ships” that transported fine sake from all over the Kansai region—collected in Osaka during the Edo period—to Tokyo. Features include a rooftop open-air bath modeled after a sake-pouring masu cup, a large dining table that tells the story of the “tarumawashi-sen,” a bedroom that recreates the streetscape of the tarumawashi-sen’s dock using masu cups, and a high-impact projector.
“Visit the bustling Shinsaibashi district — To the City Where Osaka’s Charms Converge” This facility is located in the Shinsaibashi area of Osaka, one of Japan’s major cities, and offers an ideal location as a base for exploring the Kansai region. Osaka is situated midway between Kyoto and Kobe, offering extremely convenient access to Japan’s major tourist destinations. Within walking distance are the Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, America-mura, and Dotonbori, where you can fully enjoy Osaka’s famous street food, neon-lit streets, and shopping.
Transportation access is excellent, with Kyoto about 55 minutes away, Nara about 50 minutes away, and Kansai International Airport (KIX) about 60 minutes away. It’s a convenient location for sightseeing in Osaka City as well as for exploring the entire Kansai region.
The hotel is fully equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. You can enjoy watching movies on a 100-inch projector and a 5.1-channel home theater system, or connect your TV to a Nintendo Switch to play games. The rooftop hinoki cypress open-air bath is designed to resemble a traditional Japanese measuring cup (masu), allowing you to spend a relaxing time enveloped in the scent of hinoki cypress. The property is also fully equipped with amenities ideal for long-term stays, including a kitchen, a dining table inspired by Edo-period river transport culture, and a washer-dryer combo.
Whether you’re visiting Japan for the first time or are a repeat visitor looking to explore the Kansai region in depth, we offer the ideal stay that combines convenience, culture, and relaxation.
