Deer View Cottage was an idyllic and very comfortable place to spend the weekend.

Deer View Cottage was an idyllic and very comfortable place to spend the weekend. It is modern and very-well presented with everything you need. My husband, two boys and I loved seeing and feeding the deer and enjoyed use of the hot tub. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a relaxing time away in Devon. I had a great 40th birthday weekend there.

One of the best weekends away we have had! Myself, partner, 4 year old, 8 month old and pooch came to stay with Debbie at the farm for a long weekend. Everything was wonderful, the house was spotless, everything we needed was there, there was never a moment where we went 'we could do with..' kitchen was fully equipped, dog bowls, bed and treats.Although on a farm, you would never know. It was so quiet. Close to a some local shops, restaurants and pubs. The hot tub was great and an added bonus. For us, the highlight was the views and Deers ! Our 4 year old was in her element, being so close and having been left carrots and apples each morning to feed them, she didn't want to leave! Debbie was fab and so friendly and very helpful with whereabouts to go! We can't recommend and look forward to coming back !! 😀

A true home from home with the added bonuses of picturesque scenery, beautiful sunsets and a garden

A true home from home with the added bonuses of picturesque scenery, beautiful sunsets and a garden full of deer. From the moment we pulled up we were greeted by the wonderful Debbie who really is the most attentive host, nothing was ever too much hassle and daily she would leave us carrots and apples to feed the deers which really was so delightful, as well as the deers we were lucky enough to meet the rest of the animals on the farm including some very cute calves. The home itself was spotless and so much thought had been put into all the little touches, you really didn’t ever have to leave if you didn’t want too, from a large but ever so cosy lounge, a kitchen with all the utensils needed and the private hot tub overlooking the exceptional landscape. The location its self is within the area of outstanding beauty which it really did showcase the true beauty of the Devonshire countryside, with local woodland walks with views for miles but still within a stones throw from the quaint seaside villages and the Jurassic coastal walks. Thank you to Debbie for such a wonderful peaceful refreshing break, definitely enable us to recharge our batteries. We wouldn’t normal ever go back to the same place twice but for Deer View we definitely will make that exception.

My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic experience for a week stay at Deer View. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Debbie, who made us feel right at home. The amenities provided were top-notch ensuring that everything necessary for a comfortable stay was readily available and the breathtaking views added an extra touch of magic to our stay. We were kindly given the opportunity in feeding the cows, deer, and playing with the goats and dogs which we thoroughly enjoyed - it truly felt like a home away from home.The attention to detail was impeccable, with a delightful hamper filled with a few treats, farm-fresh eggs and fizz waiting for us upon arrival. Debbie truly went the extra mile to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with plenty of shops, farm shops, and unique places to explore within a 20-minute radius.Deer View is also a dog-friendly retreat that goes above and beyond to cater to our fury companions. Upon arrival, we found a thoughtful array of amenities for our four-legged babies, including dog toys, dog bed, bowls, and treats, all provided complimentary which the dogs absolutely enjoyed and were so comfortable as if they were at home. And let's not forget the highlight of our stay - the amazing hot tub! It was well-kept and provided the perfect relaxation spot with stunning views and beautiful sunsets. I highly recommend Deer View to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable getaway. I will definitely be back for another visit. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!

Wow! Love love love this place.

Wow! Love love love this place. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and luxurious with absolutely everything you could need..The views from the house are absolutely stunning. Debbie the owner was fabulous, she took the time everyday to chat and show my children around their beautiful farm.. we visited the cows and their calves, fed the deer carrots from the garden everyday, ate fresh eggs from the geese and hens..met all the working dogs.. it was truly an amazing stay. Debbie went above and beyond and even hauled a great big telescope for us from her own house so my son could star gaze!! We saw some gorgeous sunsets which we enjoyed fromthe fabulous hot tub. My son who is always ready to go home no matter where we holiday cried when we left and wanted to stay! The location is also perfect with so many lovely places to see. Dorset is only a 25 minutes drive away too. I would highly recommend..We could not fault the entire stay. Thank you Debbie for making it extra special… ❤️ we will return!

A little piece of heaven

Deer view was a wonderful well needed rest break from our hectic lives. Booked to celebrate my 40th birthday it did not disappoint and made some fabulous memories to always treasure. The property was easy to find and the directions given by the hosts were clear and easy to follow. The hosts themselves were perfect, on hand and happy to chat but not intrusive in any way and left us to enjoy our time at the property. The property itself was breathtaking with modern contemporary chic decor. The kitchen is super modern, spacious and a joy to cook in with views looking out to the deers. Dining room was again spacious with a lovely dining bench which allowed us to enjoy meals together. A Bluetooth speaker was installed which could be played in the kitchen and dining room but didn't intrude on the lounge meaning our family with teenagers could enjoy didn't spaces within the home. The dining area opened out into the garden with spectacular views which could be enjoyed from either the patio seating, sun loungers or in the hot tub. The hot tub was an awesome feature, a really good size, easy to use and allowed you to kick back and relax with deer grazing beside you. Upstairs the bedrooms were both a good size with super comfy beds and plenty of storage space. The extra touches arrival hamper,birthday card and balloon really made it extra special we would definitely stay again!
