Great location on the beach for a family reunion! 10 of us enjoyed this property and staying on the sand was the best! Quiet beach…who would imagine having almost no one around in mid-July! Quirky layout (stairs to the top bedroom are in the master bedroom with no door up above), but we made it work for our 4 adult kids and two teen grandkids. Lots of space for everyone to eat together, games and cards on the table at night and enjoyed the BBQ too! Has an old, small town beach feel, which we loved. Short trip to Ventura Harbor Village, Maritime museum, and some small local shops. Would highly recommend for privacy and a relaxing location!

Family Vacation

WOW!! This house was PERFECT! There were two rooms on the bottom floor with a kitchenette, refrigerator, a pullout sofa sleeper with a walkout to the patio area and beach. The main floor has three rooms one is quit large next to a large bathroom, the master bedroom with on suite and washer and dryer. Through the master bedroom there are stairs to the 5th bedroom with access to a balcony with ocean views.The main floor has breath taking views of the ocean with a balcony. Our manager Glenn was WONDERFUL and very helpful with all our questions. We absolutely loved our 9 day stay at this house and highly recommend it. The house has absolutely everything you need. We brought items we did not need to. There was an abundance of linens, beach towels, toys for the sand “no need to bring” kitchen supplies. The house was very clean. This house is perfect especially if you have a large family. We would most definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Our family made some amazing memories here that we will cherish forever!!!

Great location with everything you need to enjoy it!

It was right on the beach with great views of the water and the Channel Islands. It was remarkably clean. The beach wasn't crowded or noisy - just the next door neighbors who played their music very loud - but only on the holiday. Everything you could possibly need for cooking and serving was in the many closets and cupboards. There were many games, books, puzzles, blankets, sheets, towels, beach accessories like boogie boards and surf boards, beach chairs. They had outdoor furniture and a charcoal grill. I have never stayed at a place that was fully stocked like this.

Family vacation

Loved this place! Glenn was awesome! We had a great time and we will be back! We had plenty of room for everyone! We had 3 of our kids and their families all with us in this beach house. 11 of us total. We have stayed in a lot of beach houses but this one has been our favoritethank you Glenn for everything!!

A family favorite

This is our 2nd stay here. My family overwhelmingly chose to return and they are already lobbying for this to be an annual tradition. This stay is all about relaxing and enjoying the house with all of it's comforts and beautiful views. 3 generations hanging out together in amazing weather while playing outside and cooking together. We also enjoyed the tavern across the street and some local restaurants. We did not want for anything. No complaints. No problems. Well be back.

Perfect location for a family vacation

We planned this trip for our dad‘s 90th birthday. His one request was to be able to watch the sunset from the beach. Glenn‘s house was perfect. We could not have asked for anything more. The house was perfectly stocked with everything we needed for meals at home. The sunset was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time playing games at the dining room table while watching the sunset. My only suggestion would be to have curtains available if the sun was too much. Thank you, Glenn for having us!

Property was clean and was fully stocked which was much appreciated since we were traveling from a different state. The view was amazing. There was a nice patio to sit on to watch the sunset. There were sand toys for the whole family which again was so helpful since we were traveling.

Family style, with elbow room

This was the perfect house for a family getaway for my 60th birthday! Glenn was friendly, proactive and responsive. My hubby and I, 2 adult kids and their partners, one 13 y/o and my dad all fit with room to spare. The home has a comfy, well-loved, lived-in feel that invites you to just settle in. It was the most well-stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed in, with surprises in every nook and cranny. It even had a working ice maker and a random tambourine! There were cabinets filled with a great selection of DVDs, books, puzzle and games, and lots of beach toys in the garage, with room to park a car. We never even left the property! This middle of September weekend, there were few people on the beach the entire time. To save you some time trying to figure out the floor plan from the pics, here you go: Ground floor - 2 queen bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette and small living room with sliding doors that open to the sand. First floor - one queen bedroom, bathroom, main kitchen and living room with sliding doors to balcony with ocean view, plus master bedroom and attached bathroom with a working jacuzzi tub. Top floor - queen bedroom and patio, with access through stairs located in the master bedroom. Book it! You won’t regret it!

Spacious comfortable house with gorgeous sunsets

Very spacious, sunny and well equipped home right on the beach. It is on a very quiet street and very residential. But just 10 minutes away by car from shops and grocery stores. The property manager was easy to contact and quick to respond.

Amazing house

This house is everything as described, plus more. Plenty of sand toys, boogie boards, towels, kitchenware, cleaning supplies, the list goes on. The location was perfect, very quiet and always plenty of parking. Probably good to be aware that the loft bedroom is entered through one of the master bedrooms, but that wasn't an issue for us. The loft is also a very quiet area for the occasional "remote workers" in our group. Loved this house, and would definitely stay here again.

Great Customer Service!

We had a lovely time at the beach house. The few questions we had, were quickly answered by our Host, Glenn. He offers as much or as little service as you want or need. We opted for the Self-Check-in and “hands-off” approach, which he honored, just checking in by phone call or text if needed. Our family wanted to rent the home again next year, but the dates we are interested in are already booked a year in advance, so we will have to go elsewhere next time. We do hope to rent this home again! :)

Heaven on earth.....Silverstrand Beach

The house is beautiful and so comfortable. Right on the beach with plenty of toys for the kids and even a kiddie pool . The house worked great for 7 adults, a toddler and baby. Glenn is the best, he took excellent care of us. Thank you again we will return.

Beautiful family vacation!

10 stars! This is an amazing vacation rental! I like details, so I will share a few here. When they said that everything you would need could be found in this house, they weren't kidding! The kitchen is well stocked with full dinner settings, lots of pots and pans, and miscellaneous cooking supplies and paper products. There was even a whole bunch of beach toys. The home is beautiful and opens to a private sand area on the grand floor, with a small living room and 2nd kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and the pull-out couch bed. There are lots of sitting areas in and outside. The 2nd floor is the primary gathering place for the family with the full kitchen and large living room perfect for the family games. Sliding glass doors line the wall to the outdoors with a wonderful balcony, also a favorite place to gather. There are also 2 bedrooms and 2 baths on the 2nd floor,1 being the master. The last room on the 5th floor is roomy and spacious, however remember that it has to be reached by going through the master bedroom. That was no problem for us since we had teenagers who loved having the whole floor to themselves, but respectful not to walk through their parent's room. Our host Glenn checked in a couple times to make sure we weren't needing anything, which was much appreciated. We hardly saw any people, with most times all on our own. We loved the entire home, and will definitely make a return trip. Thank you for a great time.

Amazing family vacation!

Our family spent Memorial Day weekend here. We had 7 adults, 2 pre-teens and a baby. I spoke with Glen before and during the trip. He was always accessible and personable. I was initially nervous about the lack of air conditioning (as we live in the severely hot San Fernando Valley), but Glen made me feel more at ease about how cool it is in Oxnard. This weekend was actually cold! We did bring tower fans though so we could have air movement if we wanted. The house is beautifully decorated. The beds and furniture are comfortable. Everyone (including the tall and the wide) were comfortable. That is not always the case at other accomodations. Everything was well stocked (even ice and wood!) and the cooking equipment was in great condition: knives were sharp and my omelets didn't stick in the pan! The beach was sparsley used, which is amazing on a holiday weekend. The neighborhood was quiet. There is a tavern across the street. It is small but it was full of people! There are multiple places you can relax and watch the sun setting. Gorgeous. We used the firepit outside and made some great family memories. There is a closet full of games and books and even a game system to use. There really wasn't anything negative about our stay. This was probably the best VRBO rental we have had in ages.
