Welcome to our stunning Villa with unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea and Saint Barts. Villa Tamarind is a unique rental property because it is owner-run and is truly is our home away from home and outfitted with comfort and fun in mind.

We are located on the Dutch side, minutes from the French border in a quiet gated community. This is the perfect place to relax and build new memories with family and friends while you listen to the ocean waves and enjoy the crystal clear pool waters. There are multiple outdoor spaces offering privacy or space to gather.

Villa Tamarind is a beautiful Villa with 4,500 square feet of living space in a stunning private setting and offers spacious, open-concept living. Our guests can never get enough of the gorgeous views, peacefulness & privacy of our property. This is what makes our home so special.

Three of the bedrooms are connected to the living room/kitchen and one is accessible from the outside terrace, offering extra privacy.

To make your stay unforgettable from the moment you land, we offer a complimentary airport transfer to the Villa and work with car rental agencies that will deliver your car directly to the property. This, paired with a possible pre-provisioning, allows for a hands-off arrival, which our guests love! If you prefer a self-check in, we are also happy to accommodate it.

-- LIVING SPACE --
Villa Makai offers generous living space allowing friends and families to spend quality time together and build fantastic memories, while also allowing for privacy and alone time when desired. The best of both worlds!

Our property offers a large living room, which is bright and airy, with 3 ceiling fans, large glass sliding doors, which open onto the terrace and the pool, as well as modern and custom-made furniture, including a generous and gorgeous lounge couch. There is a large 65" Smart TV for our gusts to login to their favorite platforms, which is also connected to Netflix- perfect for a fun movie night or simply watching your favorite shows. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the Villa with Google Wifi.

We’ve also equipped our home with a JBL Xtreme Bluetooth speaker as well as a Google Home Max, so you can play your favorite tunes. Villa Tamarind also has a fine selection of books, which we are happy to share with you, including a fair number of cookbooks, which we hope you will find inspiring!

-- BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS --
Our luxury Villa offers four air-conditioned bedrooms and four bathrooms, each with large standalone showers. Three suites feature a sea view with large sliding glass doors, which open onto a shaded terrace overlooking the pool. The fourth bedroom, offers views on our peaceful tropical garden. All bedrooms are equipped with memory foam bamboo mattresses. There is 1 King-size bed, 2 Queen-size beds, 2 Twin-size beds which can seamlessly convert to 1 King-size bed. One of the suites offers additional privacy, with access from the deck only (perfect for older kids or adults) and its own private terrace (one of our guests' favorite bedrooms!). We supply luxury bed linens, bath towels, beach/pool towels, hair dryers, as well as a 2-in-1-shampoo/ -body soap and hand soap.


-- KITCHEN AREA & DINING SPACE --
Our open-concept kitchen is bright and appointed with gourmet chefs in mind. Whether you like to take it easy in the kitchen while on vacation, or if you love the idea of whipping together a feast, you will find everything you are looking for, from chef knives, to a professional American Range, a 48" sub zero fridge/freezer, a stand mixer and blender, a 4 slice-toaster, a dishwasher, plenty of pots and pans, as well as dishes and baking supplies.

The island has so many great restaurants, and we will be happy to share with you our favorites and those we consider to be hidden gems. Yet, if you prefer to stay at home and relax, we can help you arrange Chef services, be it for a single meal or the entire week, from breakfast to dinner. Simply let us know!

Villa Tamarind offers three dining options. There is an inside dining table, which seats 6 as well as a covered al fresco teak dining table outside above the pool deck, which seats 8, an al fresco teak dining table just by the pool that sits 6.

Villa Tamarind is equipped with a large capacity washer and dryer, which you may use at your convenience.


-- OUTDOOR SPACE --
Almost 20 years ago, we fell in love with the views and knew our guests would absolutely love them too. Take in the vista and enjoy the Caribbean trade winds while you lounge on one of our comfortable sun beds or take a dip in our generous pool.
Outside the sea view bedrooms as well as the living room, the roof is extended, providing lovely shaded terraces, overlooking the pool. The layout of the Villa is designed to make the most out of the fantastic view of the Caribbean Sea, Guana Bay and Saint Barts, as well as the sea breeze that provides natural cooling.
For many of our guests, vacations rhyme with outdoor cooking! Villa Tamarind is equipped with a Weber Charcoal Barbecue, a Weber big smoker, and a custom-built wood-fired pizza oven. If you feel like a pizzaiolo, this is your chance and we will happily provide you with some firewood, to get it up and running!


-- LOCATION --
Our property is located in exclusive Tamarind Hill, on a beautiful hillside overlooking the crystal waters of the Caribbean Sea and Saint Barts. Tamarind Hill is a safe and secure gated community with 24/7 security. In addition, our property is equipped with a single outdoor security camera, which faces the entry gate and remains connected 24/7.

Not only is our home ideal for a super relaxing stay, it is also close to the best the island has to offer, situated just a few minutes away from the border. Here are a few distances to give you an idea of how central our villa is: Philipsburg 10 minutes; Orient Beach 15/20 minutes; Grand Case 20/25 minutes; Simpson Bay 25 minutes.

Tamarind Hill has its own quasi-private sandy beach, called Gibbs Bay, which can be accessed on foot or by car without leaving the community. It is a small wild beach (no facilities), which is best in calm weather as the reef comes almost all the way to the shore. Sint Maarten has so many beaches, which are all worth visiting, 37 of them! Villa Tamarind’s location also allows you to take gorgeous morning walks throughout the community and all the way to Guana Bay and onwards if you wish.

At Villa Tamarind, our objective is to ensure you will have an unforgettable experience, which we know starts long before you arrive. We will help you plan an amazing stay.

If you wish to start enjoying your vacation the moment you land, we highly recommend pre-provisioning and for your selected groceries to be put away. How nice to arrive and to open a cold beer!

Our housekeeper will prepare the Villa for your arrival and will also come to the house, once per week, to refresh it.

Our property manager is also a certified pool technician and our pool is equipped with a vacuum cleaner, allowing for sparkling water daily.

Sint Maarten is usually best explored with a car, and all beaches offer easy parking. However, if you prefer not to drive, we can recommend a fantastic driver who offers 24/7 VIP service for a reasonable rate.

We’ve put together a comprehensive "Welcome Book", which contains very valuable information about our Villa and the island, including recommendations about beaches, restaurants, excursions and more.

For our guests traveling with children younger than 3 years old, we provide a travel crib, which will be set up before your arrival and placed in the bedroom of your choice. For our younger guests, we provide a selection of children books as well as a few toys, which our property manager will be happy to place in one of the bedrooms upon request.
