We had a great time, the house was very comfortable, and in good range of Mt. Rainier. Communication was easy, and everything was as described. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the house was relaxing! Thank you for a great stay.

This is a rustic but well appointed cabin. Full kitchen and grill to bring your own food and recharge for hiking. Location is very good and close to the Steven Canyon access point for Mt. Rainier and also a good place to launch for other hiking in the area. The property can sleep 10+. The fire pit is nice to sit outside and enjoy the area when the sun goes down. The price is a little on the steep side, but given the amenities it is solid. You are also close to Packwood to get supplies or hit a couple of restaurants in town. All in all, we had a very nice stay. Some things don't work perfectly, but overall the place has a lot of character.

Comfy little cottage

Practical & Pleasant

Perfect place to lay low. There are 5 beds upstairs so this place would be excellent if you have a ton of kids.

Rock and roll cabin

Good but hot

Nice place with good amenities - laundry, kitchen. Upstairs was broiling hot even after running the small AC unit for several hours. This was late June, I cant imagine later in the season.

That place was really run down, smelled weird, dirty and had weird stuff all over. We almost just booked a hotel room

We thought this place was a good value because it is big and has plenty of places to sleep. The kitchen is big. It has plenty of seating in the living room plus TVs in every room. The property is very old. Some cabinets are missing. All the furniture and beds seem to be at least 20 years old. But that didn't really bother us. The biggest issue with this property is the decorations. They are atrocious. For example, there is a decoration about a woman needing money for her rehab right next to a candle with a picture of Jesus on it in the kitchen. We also found a crucifix on the wall. There are odd toys hanging off of all of the beams of the house. This place seems to suggest that it's good for kids, but there is a poster on the wall called Virgin Snow showing what can only be assumed as an underaged girl with her skis up in the air in a very sexualized position. The bed I slept on had a child's rocking chair next to it that served no other purpose other than to trip me when I got up. Also, we found the mattress in the master bedroom to be so uncomfortable that we couldn't sleep on it. It was hard, it springs seem to transfer motion like an ocean. It wiggled. It made noise. It was just unsleepable. Luckily there are other options in the house. Again, we thought this place was a good value. But the decorations made us uncomfortable, especially those that were religiously themed. And the master bed has to be replaced. Replaced. It's just unacceptable. Other than that, we do recomm

The location was great for the things we wanted to see and do.

Except for things not being as clean as we would have liked and there not being much of basic cooking helps like, salt and pepper it was fine.

Weird place, definitely memorable.

Overall, good place with functional kitchen and BBQ, great after a long day. Its about 1 hour away from paradise. We came here in the middle of the night after a long day's hike. The place definitely gave off a haunted cabin vibe. The furniture inside is definitely "grandma's attic" old but the place was clean. There were dolls, kiss action figures, and posters throughout the house which definitely was creepy at night. The sex periodic table above the master suite topped it off.

Weird and filthy

The cleanliness of the place was appalling, with blood-stained, unwashed sheets and towels that were clearly neglected. The white pillows were discolored with yellow stains, and the entire place emitted an unbearable odor. However, the most disturbing aspect was the presence of explicit sexual decorations that were completely inappropriate for children. I strongly advise against staying here if you value cleanliness, comfort, and a family-friendly environment.

Do yourself a favor and pick a different place. Heed all other reviews. I didn't read the reviews before I hastily booked due to last minute accomodation needs. While ithe rental has potential, this place shouldn't even be allowed on VRBO in its current condition. The owner completely denies the unhealthy and unclean conditions despite our correspondence (and all other reviews).
