Not as Advertised-A Disappointing Stay
Confusing check in due to conflicting info from host and Evolve. Listing photos and descriptions showed smart tvs in bedrooms 1,2 and on patio. When we arrived there were no tvs in either bedroom and the one on patio did not work!The tvs were a major reason we chose this property. On day 4 of our stay the refrigerator failed. Host first had a neighbor come over to ''fix it,'' then called an actual repair service which found the compressor had failed. She then ordered a new refrigerator which came 4 days later. We lost around 300 worth of food plus vacation time was lost waiting around for service and delivery people. This host (owner) sent annoying and intrusive texts trying to micromanage our behavior in the unit: turn off porch lights; be sure freezer door was shut (when compressor was the problem); put heavy pool cover on when pool not in use (difficult for 2 elderly women to do); stop normal behavior as she had gotten an Excessive Use alert from the electric provider. We left 20 days into a planned 36 day stay due to these and other issues. A refund negotiation is in progress.We have stayed in properties all over the world and this one was the worst experience we have had.
