Great Location Close to Everything

Very quiet location, close to El Paseo and close to Shadow Mountain Country Club. Nice little courtyard that is totally enclosed. Comfortable set up inside with everything you'll need. I hope to stay there again when we're in Palm Desert.

Exceeded expectations

The cottage was everything we needed for our stay. Loved how private and spacious the outdoor area was, perfect to BBQ. Inside, I was expecting it to be a little packed for 6 people but we all had more than enough room. Great customer service, answered all my questions leading towards my reservations promptly. Would definitely recommend!

Exceeded Expectations

The cottage had everything we needed. I loved how private and spacious the patio area was which connects the entrance from your reserved parking spots. Stayed here with my family of 6 and we had more than enough room. Great communication from the host. I would definitely reccomend!

Cute, Clean, Great Location

We loved our stay at this cute home! It is in a fabulous location within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are far enough apart so that two couples can sleep comfortably.Two requests to the owners which have been mentioned in other reviews: (1) please provide more coffee cups and (2) the master bathroom shower is incredibly slippery. Dollar store cups and adhesive shower strips would easily solve both.

perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite a rocky start. Check-in was meant to be 3 pm but cleaners were still there until 4. Also, the first morning a circuit blew and we didn’t have power or internet in part of the house. To the credit of Zara, after emailing her at 6 am she had an electrician there by 11. After that, all was smooth!

Perfect for our needs

We visited the desert to connect with friends from Canada. We brought our beloved dogs and the place was perfect for that. A second bedroom to house their crates and a fully-fenced large patio for them to run around in were terrific. The cottage was cute and generally well-outfitted, however it needed a few additional things, like more than 3 coffee cups, a vegetable peeler and definitely softer pillows. The step-down bathtub was a challenge, specifically since there wasn’t a rubber suction bath mat which would have made the tub and steps much less slippery.

Comfortable, spacious and clean

The property was comfortable, spacious and clean. Furnishings were sparse. Large closets but no shelves at an appropriate height on which to put clothing. No surfaces (eg. dresser, tables) on which to place a suitcase or clothing. Kitchenware was in short supply. No baking trays for the oven. Accommodates six, however only four or five plates, bowls etc. No coffee mugs. The check in process was fine, however, checkout process was problematic. There was a discrepancy between the information sent to us (the client) and the information provided to the cleaning staff (who were extremely professional and respectful) on check out time (they were told an hour earlier for checkout than we were). This resulted in a very rushed an unsatisfactory departure.

Secluded getaway, some issues

Quiet getaway in Palm Desert. Good location close to many services. Beds were super comfortable. Decent kitchen, well stocked with essentials. Very good TV in the living room for movies. Perfect set-up for anyone that has pups. Home was clean and decorated well. When we arrived the Nest thermostat wasn’t working (seemed to not have power); the property manager tried to troubleshoot and said it had been working the day before, and did offer to have someone look at it, which we declined because it wasn’t too hot. There were ceramic heaters placed in all rooms though, which suggested there’s been some known issue with the HVAC. Electricity with a few of the lights (hall and living room) seemed inconsistent. The expectations for cleaning before check-out were a bit much given there was a cleaning fee of several hundred dollars. The master bath shower is very slick — I slipped and fell getting into the shower even with the hand rails. Outside patio furniture was incredibly dirty. Finally, this property is currently for sale (which was not disclosed), and the property manager reached out on our first full day there to ask if we could have the realtor bring a buyer through for a showing. I appreciate it’s difficult to sell any home in our current market, but felt this was completely unprofessional; if someone is using your home as a vacation destination then showing it is off the table. All things considered we would stay here again despite some of the issues.

Cold as hell inside

Let’s say don’t stay here in the winter. The heater wouldn’t go beyond 66 degrees. NEST thermostats are not math problems, which is what the unit had. The owner had it locked to not go above 66. Complained and said it was my issue for not reaching out to property manager. I’m sure he wasn't asleep or anything in the middle of the night. Poor customer service and dismayed by property management’s place of blame. 1/10 because at least we had beds to sleep in.

Nice Property but needs Work.

Property was very cute and what expected from photos. Guest bathroom shower cold water didn’t work making it unusable. Emailed and texted property manager but no response. Guest bedroom needs ceiling fan for better air circulation. Living room could use a standing lamp or better lighting. Patio furniture needed a good cleaning.
