- Newly constructed upscale chalet situated on one of the highest elevations in the area! Incredible mountain views & southern exposure will delight you during your stay! Conveniently & centrally located in the valleys’ many amenities including popular destinations such as: Skeetawk Ski Lift (12 miles away). The iconic Bodenburg Butte Hiking Trail which is only one mile to the top where you can see breathtaking 360-degree views of the valley below(13 miles away). Matanuska Glacier (57 miles away) where you can set foot on one of Alaska’s oldest & most spectacular glaciers any time of the year! Independence Mine State Historical Park, an incredibly scenic drive up to where you can explore the history of the Alaska gold rush along with incredible views of the valley (19 miles away). And our famous Mat-Su Reindeer Farm (13 miles away) just to name a few!
We also have a huge Cottonwood tree at the edge of the property where your odds of seeing an eagle or two are in your favor as they like to perch atop the branches and scour the cliff below for prey!

This home is fantastic! The views are phenomenal. The house is immaculate, well stocked and very comfortable. The owners are communicative and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Amazing Eagles Perch
My wife and I travel quite a bit and “Eagles Perch” is definitely in the top three of the best places we’ve ever stayed…..ANYWHERE!! The owners (Tonja and her husband) are amazing and will do anything they can do to make your stay a very memorable experience. Put this place on your bucket list.

Alaska Adventure
This place was absolutely beautiful! Coffee and filtered water machine were awesome! The view was my favorite but the heated towel rack came in a close second 😊 We missed the first night do to a flight cancelation, I wish we could have worked on getting an extra day or part of the money for that day back but I understand from both ways. Overall she was a great host and it was so clean and peaceful! Would highly recommend

Wonderful!
We chose this property to serve as the base for our elopement and it was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and well-appointed and served as a gorgeous backdrop for photos both before and after the ceremony. We were even able to have a helicopter pick us up and drop us off at the property. Tonja, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with throughout. Highly recommend and would absolutely book this property again!

Perfect!
The house was absolutely perfect! Snow covered mountains from every window. Bathroom and kitchen were very nicely appointed. Comfortable beds. Everything you need. Hosts were spectacular, offering some wonderful suggestions for sightseeing. We were even picked up by a helicopter for a glacier walk right from the house. Amazing!! Can't recommend enough.

Amazing stay!
Wow! We have visited many VRBOs and this is by far the most beautiful, well appointed home with amazing views. The interior design, furnishings and decorations should be featured in a magazine. I could live in their home full time!
We decided on a stop in Palmer, AK to do a full day ATV tour to the Knik Glacier. After seeing this home listed, we decided on a 3 night stay… wish it was longer.
Our stay in this home was the highlight of our trip to Alaska.

Breathtaking views meets luxury living
Our stay at this VRBO was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the panoramic mountain views—truly some of the most breathtaking scenery we've ever experienced. Whether sipping coffee on the deck or watching the sky change colors in the evening, the backdrop was straight out of a postcard. The home itself was immaculate and modern, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. Heated floors and a towel warming rack were luxurious touches that made a big difference, especially after long days of adventuring in the Alaskan chill. The space was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything our family needed—from a well-stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms and plenty of room to relax. It was clear that the hosts take great pride in this home. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and hospitality were all top-notch. It truly felt like a home away from home. We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, and this one easily ranks among the best. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and unforgettable Alaskan escape.

We loved our stay here! The view is amazing, the house is second to none. It was a perfect home base for our glacier elopement and tour of the area. We’ll be back next year for sure!!
