  • This spacious beach front home features a fabulous open floor plan, beautiful reclaimed hardwood throughout, gourmet kitchen, a swimming POOL for kids of all ages, beach front with a bay view, pickleball courts, gazebo, gas grill, large parking area for trucks with boat trailers, and a large deck for sipping refreshing sunset drinks after a day spent enjoying the unspoiled beaches at Alligator Point.

    Alligator Point is a family-friendly beach community just one hour south of Tallahassee on Floridas Forgotten Coast. Explore nearby state parks to include Bald Point, Wakulla Springs and Saint George State Parks.

    Adjacent 2 bedroom beach next door maybe available for larger groups, family reunions and corporate retreats

If you’re searching for the ideal Old Florida beach house, where time slows down and life moves at a different pace, this is it. We had a wonderful stay with our family of 4 and our dog (didn’t use 3 of the bedrooms, the house was bigger than expected). I used to come to alligator point as a child and haven’t been back in years, wanted to show my kids and husband this peaceful area of the forgotten coast. The house was wonderful and reminded me of the cottage my family had as a child, wooden beams and walls, beautiful old Florida style you don’t see much anymore. I loved the sunken sitting area and of course the beautiful beach views and also a long dock on the bay side. The kids enjoyed the pickleball courts and fishing beach and bay. Robin the host was great. Hope to come back again.

Photos don’t do this property justice! We were a family group of nine adults who love to be together and who value our alone time. This eclectic property had nooks and crannies for privacy, and wonderful gathering areas. The decor was beachy and fun, and the kitchen FULLY stocked with every appliance or accessory you could need. The beach was great and essentially private. Robin was wonderful and responded immediately to the few requests or questions we had. Five stars aren’t enough!

Beautiful secluded property

We booked this and as we arrived, so did a hurricane but the property owner was amazing. Very informative, nice and friendly. We were able to stay one day before evacuation and it was perfect.

Retirement Get Away

Too celebrate my retirement, decided to get away with family. We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect with a gorgeous view. Plan on going back.

Christmas on the Beach

Perfect for a large group. Fantastic beach viewing and walks. Upper floor bedroom balcony perfect for watching sunrise and sunsets. Touch of Christmas decorations added were perfect for our family celebration.Already planning a future visit.

Family Retreat

We had a great time and enjoyed stargazing, jigsaw puzzles, walking the beach, kayaking, cooking, reading, watching football and playing pickle ball. Perfect getaway in a beautiful house situated in a peaceful slice of paradise.

Perfect for a big family!

We really enjoyed our stay here. I had been to Alligator Point as a kid several times and loved getting to bring my own kids here to experience it. They said the Point is their favorite destination ever! The house had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of room for everyone, beautiful location!

Lots of room ON the beach

Nine of us spent four nights and enjoyed it so! Walking out the back door onto a clean white beach with warm water was quite a treat for this Oregon family.

Peaceful Paradise

I love this house and Alligator Point. We walked the beach, cooked, played pickle ball, watched the sun set and the stars come out, did puzzles and played games. It was the perfect end to 2024 and beginning to 2025.

This house is beautiful and in an incredibly beautiful spot. We spent a week there over Christmas with six family members and had a wonderful time. The view from the balcony is stunning, and the full-house wrap-around porch is a great touch. We watched sunsets every night. We watched dolphins up and down the shoreline corralling fish. In December it was very quiet and the weather was perfect. The design of the house is terrific with an open concept and yet individualized spaces so that a big group can spread out and everyone still be together. Robin, the host, was very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. We played pickleball, walked on the beach, used the dock for our friend’s boat, cooked a bunch of food (two stoves and ovens came in very handy, not to mention the extra fridge in the downstairs), and much more. There were a few areas for improvement. The house was rather dusty and it felt that it wasn’t cleaned and kept up as well as it could be. I never was able to find the promised kayaks. All in all though these inconveniences were minor, and our stay was unforgettable.

Great house and a great location! Had all the amenities we needed and more. Plenty of space for 10 to 12 people. Property manager was very responsive to our questions.

Great Escape!

What a great property - secluded, large enough and lots to enjoy - in and out. The wrap around deck, upper and lower deck and the overall multi-level design offered a lot of diverse vantage points. Great beach walks, and some crabbing and fishing off the dock on the bay was enjoyed by all!

Great location!

This house was exactly what we needed for a family of 6 adults and 4 kids. Robin was very responsive when needed and the entire check in/out process was easy. The pool is a plus with this house for sure 😊 we were very sad to leave but would love to return!

Perfect Beach Trip

It’s rustic but in a perfect way. Well maintained and charming. Comfortable and clean. Steps away from the beach just out the back door. Pickleball was fun! Alligator point is an “old Florida” community and Old Salt is the perfect house for it.

Perfect Old Florida Getaway

Old Salt was such a wonderful place to spend Christmas with our family! The house is so spacious and has tons of charm. And the beach is literally right out the back door! The host was super helpful with any issues that popped up and even made sure the house was decorated for our holiday week. Not much to do in this area, especially this time of year, but we were fine with that. Just got home but I already want to go back!

Truly Wonderful Stay with Outstanding Hospitality

Our stay at this home was truly wonderful! The host was exceptional—kind, attentive, and communicative. While some amenities were intermittent, the host went above and beyond to resolve any issues promptly. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the pool couldn't be cleaned, which limited its use during our stay. It would have been helpful to have a backup pool maintenance option. Despite this, the overall experience was amazing, and we would definitely consider renting this home again!

Old Salt Getaway

This property is absolutely amazing and would highly recommend it for a getaway! The house is huge with 6 bedrooms, large kitchen and lots of space for everyone. The host has thought of everything and made it so easy to go in and relax. The house is set right on the beach and across the street is the river so there is lots to do. Spectacular sunsets, stargazing, fishing, walks on the beach or just relaxing on the beach or in the house. And the pickleball courts right in front of the house were lots of fun! We will definitely be going back to The Old Salt, thank you Robin!!

Relaxing and Inspiring

This house has the charm of old Florida with the conveniences of today. It’s perfectly laid out for gatherings, but not too big for 2. The location is beautiful and the house is nicely situated for a great view of the beach, but within the shade of pines. We have stayed here a half dozen times, always with a new experience or sighting. This time it was a white squirrel! So much fun.
