Melynda is an amazing host. Melynda's home is what all other vacation rentals should aspire to become. The house is spotless and well stocked. The amenities are amazing. The beds are comfortable and you will miss the shower when you get home. The location is fantastic. The neighbor is very kind. The beach is quiet. We walked for miles every day and collected huge shells. Our dogs loved the walks and the dolphins put on quite a show. The sunrises and sunsets are phenomenal and I hope everyone can experience a foggy day while at Alligator point...pure magic. We cooked from scratch meals every day and had literally everything we needed. We look forward to returning to this home. Melynda goes above and beyond to care for her guests and her home.

Unparalleled hospitality at Sach's Sea Shack! The home is beautifully furnished and has stunning views of the water from every room. Melynda's attention to every single detail made our experience truly memorable. We didn't use the hot tub during our stay so I can't speak for that but literally everything else about the house is as advertised. Very clean, very nice and the owners are amazing to work with. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay.

If you want privacy, slow pace, and seclusion this is it. There is no grocery or food close by. 20 minutes to anything. The hot tub is a perfect addition to this place, with a beach view. The beach is pretty white sand but that water is more like lake water. Although dolphins are all over the place in the mornings. You will see wildlife. If you need a reset and get away from everything in a peaceful location you found it! The owners aren’t far away and they are responsive and informative.

Beautiful Home On a Quiet, Relaxing Beach

We've stayed in a few homes in the forgotten coast area, but this is probably the nicest, inside and out! The home is modern and comfortable, with lots of amenities that make the stay more enjoyable/fun. The entire house is great, but we spent lots of time on the screened back patio - it had a great view of the water with soft seating, good fans and ocean breezes. Thank you!

We loved every part of our stay! The house is perfectly set up with all the amenities you could need and even some you didn’t think you needed until you got there and it was available. The beach is beautiful and quiet. Very few people, which we absolutely loved!

More than expected

I rated this place a 5 star because they do not offer 10 stars. My wife, three sons, and two daughters-in-law stayed at the Sach’s Sea Shack for five awesome nights. The pictures on line do not do the place justice. If you stay here, pack light and just bring some food. The kitchen is fully stocked, including most every seasoning you will need. You might want to check it out before grabbing anything from the local market. They have a very nice grill downstairs. We had almost everything to make a low country boil and steak dinner, among everything else. The pantry is huge and provides room to keep all dry goods stowed. The rest of the house is laid out spaciously and the master suite has a great walk in shower and plenty of room in the bathroom. Don’t worry about towels, soap, shampoo, or even toothbrush and toothpaste because they have it all. The outside shower is as well stocked as the other two. The screened in back porch is very relaxing when you get exhausted from beach play. Speaking of which, they have 6 matching, top of the line, beach chairs, a simple to use beach canopy, sand toys, bicycles, and even a couple of rod and reels with ample tackle. Ronald, Melynda’s husband was visiting the neighbor and I was fortunate to meet him - Thank you for your service. Also met the neighbor John, who gave us some local beach pointers and a Cherokee Purple. I know I probably left a lot out because we just got home but it was a well worth the 10 hour drove. Great hospitality!

Absolutely Amazing Stay at Alligator Point – Best Beach Vacation Ever!

Wow! Our stay at this stunning VRBO rental in Alligator Point was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the home and the peaceful charm of the area. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.The beach—just steps away—was pristine, quiet, and felt like our own private paradise. Whether we were watching the sunrise with coffee in hand or enjoying a sunset stroll, every moment was unforgettable.The hosts were truly amazing—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful in every way. They made us feel completely at home, and their hospitality went above and beyond. We also had the pleasure of meeting the neighbor, who was incredibly kind and welcoming, adding even more warmth to our experience.This was hands-down the best beach vacation we've ever had, and we are already dreaming about our next trip back. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with gorgeous views, a beautiful home, and wonderful people, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend!

Family Getaway

This home is a perfect place for a family to relax and enjoy the beach. Beach toys, fishing poles and kayaks were ready to use. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, spices and cookware and cleaning products were provided by the host. The host was very helpful and easy to reach for questions.We would highly recommend this home to other families and hope to come back in the future!

Amazing family getaway

Our vacation was great! Melynda was amazing! She was great at communicating with us and the house has just about everything you need. Because of a hurricane, we had to leave our prior vacation spot and she was so generous in letting us come to the house one day early! We loved the house being on the beach and seeing dolphins everyday. Our kids loved all the extra things like the boogie boards, all the fishing supplies, the swings under the house, the games in the cabinet, and the hot tub. It was nice having the beach tent and chairs already at the house. The house was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property for a great vacation spot!

Quiet Getaway

The property worked great for us! We had all we needed and so much more. Very clean with all the supplies you could need to keep up throughout the week. Very responsive in communication. The extra beach wagon came in very handy. We saw only a handful of people here and there on the beach the whole week. The beach water was not clear nor blue like further west, but we still enjoyed the warm water fishing and shell hunting. Angelo's carry out was worth it, and only 12-15 minutes away.

A perfect escape in a bit of old Florida

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sach’s Sea Shack! The updated beach house is beautiful, private, has stunning views, is exceptionally well furnished, and supplied with virtually anything you might want or need. Alligator Point and the surrounding area is a rare bit of “old Florida”. At the height of summer there were zero crowds anywhere, hardly a soul on the beach as far as you could see, and the setting is simply beautiful and peaceful. The fresh local seafood is unbeatable - seriously - and nearby state parks and wildlife preserves offer abundant options for observing local birds, unusual and rare native plants, wildlife, and sea life. Our host, Melynda provided outstanding advance information and quickly responded to all questions. My family and I loved everything about this rental and highly recommend Sach’s Sea Shack.

Beach perfection

Sachs Sea Shack is the most well-stocked and maintained beachfront rental. It has been updated to be comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable. It has everything needed for a wonderful vacation: amazing hosts, comfortable beds, nice linens, well-stocked kitchen, nice TVs, easy beach access and wonderfully quiet beaches. We highly recommend!

Beautiful home in perfect location!

The home was absolutely immaculate! We had absolutely everything (and more) that we needed for our stay. This home was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every detail was perfect...bikes, beach chairs and umbrella, outside shower, fish station, beautiful furnishings, breathtaking view, and (most important) supremely comfortable beds. unforgettable

We had the most amazing week at The Sachs Sea Shack. A beautifully prepared vacation home with absolutely every convenience thought about and so easy to maintain. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the gulf view from them in the morning made me never want to leave this incredible gem of a place. The master shower is so spa like and elegant, absolutely every part of this property made us never want to leave. Dolphins visited daily, the sunsets were something dreams are made of. I can't express how much I needed this little piece of paradise. Our weather was not ideal as there were record lows in Florida our week. But it wasn't the snow we had at home and the beach was still delightful with the slight feel of southern breezes fighting the arctic blasts. Plus we could enjoy the beach from the beautiful living room warmed by the fireplace that was so easy to use. Did I say already I can't wait to go back? It's a bitter sweet review I'm writing as once this amazing home is discovered by others I'm fearful the bookings will explode and I want to keep it all to myself! What a place to restore the soul.

First Visit to Alligator Point - It was magical

Our first visit to Alligator Point and the Forgotten Coast was a magical experience. The house was spotless and exactly as described in the listing and the owner's website. The property has too many extras and amenities to list in a review - the owner went way over and above the requirements for a rental. The area is very quiet and peaceful and is a perfect location for a relaxing vacation to commune with nature and recharge the spirit.
