My teenage daughter and I stayed here for a week during spring break to visit university of Kentucky, lots of thoroughbred stud & mare farms, Keeneland, and Churchill Downs. It was a great place to come back to at the end of the day and just relax and look at the all of the horses in the fields- absolutely loved watching the mares with their foals and being greeted each time by the precious two donkeys that live just next to the house. Very peaceful location, perfect place to get to all of the other attractions we wanted to see. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures with a very tall ceilings and very clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Easy check in and check out, and Steve even stopped by to say hey when we were “home”. A special added treat were the homemade chocolate chip cookies that greeted us after a 7 1/2 hour drive! Would absolutely stay there again and 100% recommend it!

We surprised our horse loving daughter with a stay here and we were all blown away. This property was stunning inside and out. Definitely the cleanest rental I have ever been in. The horses were beautiful and the donkeys were so precious! Sadie and John George were my daughter's best friends while we were there and we were so sad to leave them! We will definitely be back!!

We stayed for our trip to Keeneland for opening weekend of horse racing! After a noisy day at the track it is so nice to come to this beautiful renovated train station to spend the night. It is so quiet and peaceful. Waking up and watching the beautiful horses in the field is definitely an added plus. Owners are amazing and I can’t recommend this gorgeous place highly enough. If you have children with you, the donkeys are super friendly and love peppermints!

Loved staying at this unique property with nearby horses and donkeys. The place was immaculate and spacious. Communication with the host was excellent. Location was perfect for tours of private horse farms, Keeneland Race Course and Woodford Reserve Distillery. Will stay here again if back in Lexington.

We loved our stay! The place was clean and comfortable, and peaceful. The only thing we missed was having a cookie sheet, because I like to make bacon in the oven. Steve was really nice to chat with, as I saw him out and about on the property a couple of times. I’d definitely stay again! Being a horse person, I loved the daily views and interactions with the mares and foals!

Beautiful, relaxing home

Kentucky horse country is beyond beautiful and this rental home is in the middle of it. There were 35 foals born this spring and the house looks out on the pasture where they roam during the day with their moms...what could be more amazing? My 11 year fed the horses and the donkeys her weight in baby carrots and apples in the three nights we spent and has already asked when we can visit again.It is a short, beautiful drive into Lexington and the home is comfortable and private.

Just one problem...

This property is absolutely gorgeous. Quiet, clean and comfortably elegant. It was a nice bonus to have laundry detergent, washer and dryer available, too. The only complaint is the toilet paper was GREAT!!!! And that is my pet peeve at most rentals. Cheap toilet paper! So.... gotta find a new pet peeve. Wonderful stay by teen and parents.

ENJOYABLE STAY!!

We could not be more pleased with our stay here. The place was extremely clean and had ample room for 3 adults that we never felt crowded. The surrounding area is stunning with the added bonus of the nearby animals to watch and listen to. The owner communication was an added bonus and we felt the warm welcome with the flowers and cookies. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay, cant wait to return here again! Great stay overall!!

Keeneland trip

We have stayed in multiple locations over the years for our Keeneland trip and this is by far the BEST place we have stayed! Beautiful, relaxing and the hosts are great! The donkeys are so sweet! We looked out the living room window to see momma horses with their new babies in the field. Breathtaking views!
