Parque Ethel Morrison: Tours y Actividades

After a 15 hour drive, 5 months pregnant with two young children, we arrived to be greeted by one of the rudest receptionists I’ve come across in such a long time. She was curt, and clearly having a bad day she didn’t mind sharing with a customer. We received our room key and proceeded down a very poorly lit hallway to our room. After 15 hours, we were so exhausted I truly didn’t care about much so long as I could have a shower and sleep before driving the next day. We walked into our room and greeted with a very strong cigarette smell despite it being a “non smoking” room (of course there was a lecture about it upon checking in). Again, I could deal with that, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I went to set my bag down when two large beetle/roach type bugs ran in front of mine and my sons’ feet and scurried under the bed. I immediately grabbed my bag and ushered my boys right back to the reception desk. I was told they “did not have bugs” and there were no more rooms available for the night. I was respectful enough not to make a scene with the second family walking in, simply let her know I’d be requesting a refund and I needed to find another hotel for me and my children. After contacting Hotels.com, it took 5.5 days and multiple emails and phone calls to get the management of this hotel to respond to Hotels.com. When they finally responded they told Hotels.com they still wanted my money and would not issue a refund. I hope they use it for a better exterminator.

This place is excellent. It’s brand new. It’s squeaky clean. It was very quiet. There’s a normal size refrigerator with a freezer. There’s a kitchen sink. There’s a hot plate you can cook with. I would bring your own utensils and stuff like that. It’s just a really good quiet place at a great price.
