“The beauty of the area this lodge sits on overcomes all the things it lacks. I would stay there again JUST based on the location alone. The rooms are clean and comfortable but need updating. There is NO food except for a food truck with limited hours. Closest restaurant is 30 miles away. Lodge store is well stocked with snacks and microwave food. Each room has a microwave and fridge. “La Casita 2 es muy confortable, de buen tamaño para una pareja. Cama muy comoda, sofa, microondas, frigo, una mesa con sillas, baño con ducha y climatizacion. Tambien mesa y sillas fuera para disfrutar del anochecer. Dispone de wifi gratis, asi que no parece que se este en un sitio tan perdido. Se echa en falta un armario, hay un perchero pero no es muy practico ya que esta sobre la mesa del microondas y cafetera. Como punto negativo, diria dos cosas. “After our experience with the teepees, this place is spectacular”

“We had the greatest time! The place looks straight out of the western era and the views are incredible! It’s super close to Big Bend. If you want to go see stars is the perfect place, always double check the weather because we did get some clouds and rain on the second day. Overall, it was a great place! The only thing that I would recommend is that the porch light to be red light, when we were stargazing some people had their porch light on and it affected visibility.”

“Older type property; bed suitable for regular sized people, not for 6’4” man. Overall clean. Bathroom was perfectly functional. A/C worked well. Front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful; directed me to good eating places.”
