Von hier aus haben wir alle interessanten Lokations rund um den D-Day sehr gut erreicht. “We had a very comfortable stay. Georges was quick to respond to our questions. Language barrier was eased with the help of a handheld translator. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the downstairs lounge area. Kitchen well equipped, although we were unable to get the coffee maker to work, but we were able to make coffee using provided French press. All bedrooms are upstairs, as is one full bathroom. “Fantastic position, right on the harbour, with shops (bakery, fish market, small supermarket) and good restaurants all within easy walking distance. Parking was easy right outside, but we did use the garage. Further afield there was lots to see. Bayeux is close by, while we visited Arromanches-les-Bains and Pegasus Bridge, plus the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer. This was not a planned ‘D-day’ visit but it really gripped (and moved) me. ”
