“Property well equipped. It had everything that you need for a "home from home" vacation. Lovely and peaceful with well kept garden area and lovely pool area. Residential part of Alvor. The village centre 5 minutes walk away with lots of bars and restaurants. Would definitely return to this apartment.”

“Loved the bakery below and ease of accessibility to restaurants, the beach and boardwalk. The bed on main floor was hard and uncomfortable. We slept in the upstairs bed which was more comfortable with lots of space and a balcony. Keep in mind the spiral staircase if you are staying in the upstairs bedroom. Communication with property manager was great and the kitchen was well stocked which was a wonderful bonus. We didnt realized that it's located on a busy one way street into Carvoeiro so...

“Loved the location of the apartment. The building needs maintenence, but that did not detract from our stay and the apartment was maintained well. There are restaurants within short driving distance and a strip with shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. An added bonus was the ciffside restaurant a short walj away.”

“I thought the accommodation was good. I have stayed at Sol Rio several times over the years. I feel the apartment is ready for decorating and the decor is not to my taste. But it was very clean and comfortable. The front balcony could be a little more private and the glass table on the back balcony was in the way. Several signs said not to move it, so we didn't. “Apartamento sem conforto e nada acolhedor mobília muito antiga e danificada, não possuía serviços de Ethernet, não tinha ar condicionado, cadeiras da piscina partidas, televisão ainda com tdt e só com os canais nacionais, frigorífico muito antigo e barulhento, porta principal em madeira toda empenada a raspar no chão era inevitável o vizinho não saber a que horas saia ou entrava em casa, apartamento sem ar condicionado muito mas mesmo muito quente, etc…”

Alvor heeft voortreffelijke restaurants met zeer goede kwaliteit voor een normale prijs. Leuke cafeetjes met livemuziek. “Wir hatten das Apartment für 37 Tage im Zeitraum Oktober/November 2023 gemietet. Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgte problemlos via WhatsApp-Nachricht. Der Vermieter kam binnen 20 Minuten und hat uns kurz alles Wissenswerte erklärt: Schlüssel, Gas, Strom, Ausstattung, Einkaufsmarkt, Parkplatz und vieles mehr. “This is a lovely area to stay. The location, view and access to the coast path and beaches was perfect. Contact with the host and the manager was always responded to quickly. We had a problem with the heating when we arrived (it was cold in March) and the manager attended very quickly and sorted it for us.
