To begin, this was our 10th trip to rent a villa in Barbados and we have never had anything but a 10/10 experience and host rating. Upon arrival to Palmview with some of our family and grandkids, the first thing we discovered was that this place is a duplex and not an "Entire home" as indicated in the heading of the description. This is VERY misleading and should not be allowed by VRBO, as the so called private pool mentioned several places in the listing, is NOT private but is shared by other guests. The parking is also shared and very cramped. When we arrived, we commented to the hostess that we were disappointed to have a shared pool instead of a private pool, but we had no options at that point but to stay there. The villa was nice inside, with an excellent kitchen, well equipped, and nice spacious bedrooms. On day 2, the host texted that the 6 babies were not listed in our agreement with the 8 adults and 2 children, (babies were sleeping in the king beds with their parents so no accommodation was needed for them) but told us that all was well. However, 2 days before our departure she requested an additional 10050 for the babies, but reduced it to 3750 as a deal. Meanwhile, we had shared a pool with others, had to buy our own toilet paper and face cloths as the host provided "complementary starters for these items" (her words). We have never experienced anything like this ever before.
