“Great Trip! Whispering Pines is a hidden gem! I took my wife and 3 children (Ages 7,9,11) for Mother's Day weekend. The weather was perfect with plenty of areas to explore near the river fishing and around the mountainside hunting for geodes. We took an afternoon and hiked to Water Wheel which the whole family enjoyed. The seclusion of Whispering Pines away from the city enabled us to view the stars and we saw the solar storm at night. “House was clean, good ac, and host had fun boardgames. Easy to access. Well lit at night and the beds were cozy. A few downsides were all the tables ( inside and out) only sat four people. We were a group of 5. There is no dishwasher which is not a necessity but having a dishwashing stand would have been handy. We had 3 kids with us. Having some plastic cups and plates available would be a helpful addition to ease a mom's constant worry her kid might drop something. Other additional suggestions...

“The house was so cute and an easy drive to the Rim Golf Club where we had to go for a wedding. The unit wasn’t cleaned when we arrived but Stephanie had someone there within 5 minutes of our arrival and in top shape within the hour. We had some issues with the garage clicker not working and the front door lock not working one evening, but again Stephanie answered our call right away and got us right in. The owners of the property did so much more than any of the others-they really do care and go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. The kitchen is stocked with lots of cooking ingredients and condiments - even local eggs! There is a lovely hammock, a fire pit, comfy chairs and loads of blankets for enjoying the deck (where we spent hours relaxing).
