This modern, roomy (150 m2) accommodation is outstandingly comfortable and well equipped for holiday makers seeking peace and natural beauty. Apartment Casa Túlipa sleeps 4, and offers 2 bedrooms (each with bathroom en-suite) fitted wardrobes, and extra long beds! There are two sitting rooms, (one with smart tv, dvd-player, the other one with hifi equipment), a dining area, and a fully fitted kitchen. It will appeal to those who like to walk, swim, ride or who prefer chilling out at the swimming pool or on one of the private terraces or garden/vineyard enjoying the stunning views to the Serra da Lousã. Or for those who would like to go sightseeing there are numerous places of interest to be discovered in less than an hour’s drive. But most of all it will appeal to those who wish to have a break ‘away from it all’ in total comfort and privacy.

Casa Túlipa is located between Lisbon and Porto (one and a half hours drive from both airports) in Portugal’s green heart, close to the beautiful city of Coïmbra. There are low budget flights to Porto or Lisbon. The distance between Casa Túlipa and both airports is approximately one and a half hour by car.

The region of Serra da Lousã
Also known as Portugal’s ‘Tuscany’ the region of Serra da Lousã is one of loveliest and most diverse regions of the country and not yet discovered by mass tourism. It is an area of astonishing diversity, from the high, rugged, forested mountains of the east, through lush, verdant valleys to the flatlands and lagoons of the coastal strip in the west where you will find the great golden beaches of the Silver Coast (Costa Prata). Discover the many warm, crystal rivers and lakes. Taste the surprisingly delicious but low priced meals and wines in the local restaurants. Visit the historic cities and villages and meet authentic Portugal and its very friendly inhabitants. Enjoy culture, nature, and peace.

Accommodation description

The door at the back of the villa gives you acces to the hallway and the stairs that lead to the apartment on the first floor. Here you will find the kitchen, dining area, sitting rooms,
bedrooms, bathrooms ensuite, and a utility room.

Sitting room 1:
A three-seater, 2 settees, coffee table, bookcases, hifi equipment. Double doors give access to the balcony.

Sitting room 2:
A three-seater, 1 settee, 1 chaise longue, coffee table, a cabinet with smart tv, dvd-player, and a cabinet with boardgames, and dvd's.
Double doors give access to the balcony.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 with double bed (180 x 210cm), fitted wardrobes and ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds(180 x 210cm), fitted wardrobes and ensuite bathroom.


Bathrooms:
Bathroom 1 is ensuite with a double washbasin, shower, wc, and bidet.
Bathroom 2 is ensuite with a double washbasin, shower, wc and bidet.
Hairdryers are available.

Utility room:
Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and cleaning products.

Kitchen:
Fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, hob (gas), dishwasher, kettle, coffee makers, toaster, blender, and all utensils/ crockery. There is a dining area.

Other:
Outside living space comprising of several terraces , lounging area, large shaded dining area with bbq's, swimming pool, sun loungers, garden and vineyard. Enjoy sun or shade during the best part of the day. Parking in front of Casa Túlipa.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service:
All linen provided, including swimming towels. Linen changed weekly. Cleaning weekly.

Set near a very peaceful village but just a short drive away from good restaurants, river beaches, historical places of interest for all ages and nightlife in nearby Coimbra. 'We stayed at Casa Túlipa for a week whilst traveling around the area. The location is ideal for exploring this unspoiled part of Portugal. After a long day out it was lovely to come back and spark up the BBQ on the terrace, open a bottle of the local vino and cool off in the beautiful pool. 'Great for a quiet relaxing stay. This is a fantastic location, nearby the city of Coimbra in the heart of Portugal. The accommodation was very clean, tidy, and well equipped and overlooks some stunning views. There is a beautiful pool and there are several sun terraces. The owners were very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. Lots of good extras, like a BBQ and washing machine. A car is very helpful for travel from the airport (an easy 1,5 hour drive from Porto) and to discover this lovely part of Portugal. We fully recommend a stay.'

'Casa Tulipa is a wonderful place for a holiday. It is spacious, modern and well-equipped. We especially liked the fact it had two living rooms - this meant there was always space to do your own thing. As well as the inside space, there was ample choice of where to sit outside - on a balcony, on the terrace in comfortable seats or by the pool on sun loungers. The pool, by the way, is really great and we spent many a happy hour there, reading, sunbathing and swimming. The view from the living room is spectacular - a landscape of hills and woods which you will never tire of watching. This part of Portugal is so unspoiled and there were plenty of things to see and do in the area.
Our hosts were very welcoming and so helpful at all times. They gave us lots of tips on where to go and had even left food for us in the fridge and freezer! We can thoroughly recommend Casa Túlipa!'

'Wij zijn in augustus 2014 twee weken in Casa Tulipa geweest, en er is maar een woord dat de lading dekt: HEERLIJK! Wat een geweldige omgeving, wat een lieve mensen, wat een heerlijk eten, en wat een heerlijke plek om te vertoeven. Wij hebben samen met onze twee zoontjes van 7 en 9 een optimale vakantie gehad, erg veel genoten van de veelzijdigheid van de directe omgeving, zoals het winkelen door pittoreske straatjes in Coimbra, zwemmen in idyllische bergmeertjes aan de voet van een kasteel ruine, klimmen in een klimbos tot wel 15 meer hoogte, of een bezoek aan de Atlantische oceaan met bijpassende boulevard.
En op de dagen dat we geen zin hadden om er op uit te trekken, genoten wij met volle teugen van CASA TULIPA, met zijn geweldige uitzicht en overdaad aan luxe! Kortom: voor een vakantie die je je hele leven zult herinneren kunnen wij dit iedereen van harte aanbevelen! Dick en Jose, dank voor deze heerlijke twee weken!'

'In september 2014 zijn we in het zonovergoten Portugal geweest. We verbleven in Casa Tulipa. In onze ogen een ideale uitvalsbasis voor al het moois dat Portugal te bieden heeft. Over de regio kunnen we van alles vertellen. Er is voor iedereen wel wat te ontdekken. Cultuur, strand, winkelplezier, leuke mensen. We laten dit echter graag aan uw oordeel over. Iedereen heeft zijn eigen interesses. Maar er is voor een ieder wel wat te beleven. Variatie genoeg, lijkt ons. Casa Túlipa biedt alles wat je voor een perfecte vakantie nodig hebt: ruimte, mooie, gezellige en zeer complete inrichting (we grepen nergens op mis!), prachtig zwembad met dito uitzicht.
