This unique custom home was planned for relaxed family living. The bedrooms are large and appropriately furnished, without crammed dormitory style beds common in many rentals. Tons of space to spread out. Everyone will feel relaxed and comfortable when they stay at The Castle.

We have strong high speed wifi throughout the home which makes it a perfect location for you to work or bring your school age children.

We are also connected with local individuals who can help to make your stay more enjoyable. You can hire them directly to: pick up your groceries, prepare a delicious meal in our home, or guide you around the lake. We also are connected with a local masseuse who has her own table and will travel to our home. Need to rent a boat? We have a relationship with a local company that will deliver the boat to you DIRECTLY to our dock.

There is a community boat ramp very close to the house(2 min away) for putting your own boats and jet skis in the water as well. If you need to rent a pontoon boat,ski boat, or jet skis there is a boat rental company thats a 5 minute drive from our home. They will deliver your boat or jet ski to our dock free of charge if you mention our home.

THE LAKE

Smith Mountain Lake is a popular destination because of its natural beauty and endless activities: swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, waterskiing, wake-boarding, eating out at restaurants off the water and on the water, visiting wineries, listening to bands/music, hiking, mountain biking, putt putt, rock climbing, going to the movie theater - you name it and we've got it!

We provide an owners guide book which provides complete information about where to go and what to do around Smith Mountain Lake.   There are 2 national chain grocery stores close to our home- one is 15 minutes away the other is 20 minutes away. Wal Mart is 20 minutes away. There is a small market/gas station 5 minutes away. The lake has many restaurants and marinas on the water that you can boat to. We have always enjoyed boating to eat out on the water. You also can drive to many restaurants by car within 10/15/20 minutes as well. Like wine? There are many local wineries within easy driving distance to visit and enjoy. There are also lots of hiking and biking trails too.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Explore our lovely and safe upscale neighborhood with our 10 bikes. The neighborhood has an extensive road network and has very flat and gentle terrain for exploring. Our front yard has a gentle slope and is perfect for kicking the ball or playing croquet(set included).

We do not allow pets in our home, but there are several boarding kennels nearby and we will provide this info if you need it. We also do not allow bachelor or bachelorette parties, as we want to preserve the integrity and quality of our home and respect our neighbors and our neighborhood. Smoking is also prohibited inside the home.

Reminder -Full week rentals during the peak season(Memorial Day- Labor Day) should be Saturday-Saturday please.
