“This hotel has just been taken over by new owners the staff were saying, so are putting a lot of money into it to get it up to 4 star. The staff were so helpful, my room was great ,and with the improvements it'll only get better. What a location too, loved we were looking out over the ocean, and an easy walk into town. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back.”

The reality of the island is far from what is advertised: ​No Beach: The beach in front of the hotel no longer exists; it has been completely washed away by the sea. Instead of sand, you will find a long line of sandbags along the coast trying to stop the erosion. ​Dead Coral Reef: The reef right in front is completely dead. “We had a good overnight stay, the pool was nice and pool towels provided. We ate at the adjoining restaurant, the meal was lovely! You have to pay and order at the counter which unfortunately wasn't explained when we were shown to our booked table. The rooms did have a strong wood polish smell. A gorgeous sunset view from our room, facing the main street. Mirrors in the bedrooms would be helpful, the only one was in the bathroom, but overall was a good place to stay.”
