“New management has made many upgrades to the property. This was the first time I visited, so I didn't miss the old quirks; I found the place delightful. The Snug is a lovely lounge with wood-burning fire that was great for a cold night. I'm sure the outside tables would be lovely in warm weather. The location right next to the footbridge is charming. I stayed in room 2; the bathroom was a bit small and awkward, but I understand they have to work with the structure that's there.”

“hi as always had an excellent stay,the staff at the toll were all excellent and very helpful.weather not to bad considering the forecast was bad,cottage lovely and warm ,everything clean ,apart from me being a little ] picky ] but cleaner should have a look at the cobwebs,i know from experience you need to keep on top of this,,that aside absolutely no problems,had a few hours fishing from the bridge stand opposite the cottage,excellent for all you fishermen,george 11 pub within yards for food...

“The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen and dining area spacious and the bathroom clean and lovely. The hot tub was fun and having a real fire at night was cosy. The area is outstanding with so much to enjoy, the nearby pub food was extremely good”
