“A fantastic stay. The lady who runs Powter Howe could not have been friendlier and was very patient with me on my arrival, including with my sad attempts to get my car into the place! This is a beautiful, proper country house - very spacious room, lovely breakfast. It is very quiet here. The log fire was amazing and it was great to spend a quiet evening here away from it all! “It's the staff that make this hotel stand out , closely followed by the food ,which was apparent during breakfast no short cuts on quality, using local suppliers. The biggest surprise was the Saturday nights entertainment with a local group playing all the classics. Rooms in keeping with the traditional vibe that goes with the rest of the hotel. ”
