Too expensive for what it was
Although the cottage was in a super position in Mousehole and it was very clean and obviously newly decorated, there were several factors that made us feel it was too expensive for what it was. Firstly the one radiator in the lounge was inadequate to keep us warm. We really felt there should have been a wood burner for the evenings. We sat around with blankets over us. Not what you would expect for the price. Most of the windows were the original old ones and in our bedroom they rattled all night in the wind and kept us awake. They also were constantly covered in condensation which mean’t you couldn’t see the view out of them! In summer this may not be a problem but in winter and spring when it is cold and windy it wasn’t great. The seating area in the kitchen is very cramped and there is barely any preparation space. Visitors should take great care on the stairs. They are very shallow steps and very steep. My son fell down them bruising his shoulder and grazing both his arms. Overall I would say the cottage is definitely too expensive for what it is.
