“This is a hidden gem. Yes, it is a shared bathroom, and as an American that was strange to me, but it was a private one and well maintained, with toiletries provided. My bedroom had a sink which was also useful. It's <10 minutes walking to the train station which is also nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to leave my luggage with them after checkout”

Loved the high pressure insta hot water & super comfy bed. Great location for walking to dinner each night. “The location was perfect, right at the top with easy access to all of the city. It had an amazing view and was quite quaint. The service was top notch. She greeted us as we arrived and made sure we knew everything about the place and gave us help to find anything else in the city. The room was quite spacious and had an actual King size bed. “My room was on the entrance floor and very quiet. I loved the bed and pillows, very confortable! There was a little space between the bed and the bathroom wall but this wasn't an inconvenience as it was just a very small part in the way to the window. The breakfast is very generous and delicious, having a lot of options, including the Scottish Breakfast. Jackie, one of the hosts, is extremely nice, she was very considerate in asking my food options and/or allergies and explained what to visit...

“The food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous! The rooms were tired although the bed was great some of the furniture needed updating. There was noise all night from a boiler (I think) which kept me awake. Overall a pleasant stay but a bit too pricey for the room stay.”
