8/10
This townhouse ended up being just what I was looking for—quiet, residential, and still within walking distance to Old Town Scottsdale. Once I got my bearings, I realized I could walk to coffee shops and restaurants on the south side of Old Town in about 15 minutes, which was perfect.I did run into a hiccup with the thermostat early in the stay—it had been locked by a previous guest, and the house got quite warm before Vacasa was able to resolve it. Fortunately, it was handled to my satisfaction, and the rest of the stay was comfortable. One thing to note: the garage is quite small. If you’re driving anything larger than a compact sedan, you’ll likely need to park outside, which seemed to be common among neighbors. Also, some reviewers mentioned the gate access being confusing. There’s a keypad on the pedestrian gate that controls both the gate and garage access. Once inside, they provide a remote.Overall, a solid spot in a great location—ideal if you’re looking for a quieter alternative to the heart of Old Town with quick access to everything.
