With less than 24 hours to check in we received a text message from the property manager (when we were already traveling to this property) that the host could "no longer accommodate us." No explanation. In all my years renting from VRBO this has NEVER happened. We had to scramble, while driving, to secure another property which added undo stress to what was supposed to be a wonderful getaway. The manager, once reached, offered us another property for $600 more and then backed off on that request when I voiced my anger. In addition, we did not receive our funds back for 7 days. So we were expected to pay for a new place while the funds on this cancelled property were held. Thank goodness we were able to book a wonderful alternative. But be warned about this owner. Totally unacceptable!
