This place was falsely advertised. It is attached to the host's home, and the host was present during our stay. When my husband checked the property, he opened the door that separates the two areas and saw the host sitting on the couch watching TV. As a Realtor with 18 years of experience, I can say that this setup would be considered an in-law suite where I'm from. While there is a separate entry, the only thing separating the rental area from the host's space is a door that they can lock from their side, but we cannot lock from ours. Accessing the pool and grill requires going through the side of the host's home, which is adjacent to their patio. Traveling from another state and not knowing the host made my husband and me feel very uncomfortable. It was a major inconvenience trying to find alternative accommodations at the last minute, and the fact that they charged a cleaning fee for a home we didn't even stay in was outrageous. I could literally hear them on the other side and smell their food. If you're looking for a private, romantic getaway, this is NOT the place for you.
