5 stars location, 2 stars rooms.
The outside is great. Nice lay out garden, on the beach, very nice. Quiet and 2 minutes walk to the main road. Very nice.
The room is another story.
The mattress are as hard as a board. I have travel in Asia in small boutique hotel and never saw that bad before. Not sure why would they choose that for a place that seems to cater to a Caucasian clientele. The shower was sub par. A cheap shower head, hooked to 1 inch bracket, barely holding. No water pressure, water bearly coming out a few inches. They didn't have hand towel, just body towel. Although the temperature was not very hot, the A/C would barely reach 23.5C at maximum cool. Not a problem for us, but some people would mind. Our whole trip was shifter 2 days because our airline cancelled our flight. The resort wouldn't accommodate us and shift our reservation 2 days later while staying 2 days longer. So we decided to stay at a different hotel for the last two days in Phu Quoc. Although the new place cost like $32 per night, the room was at a totally different level, not even comparable. Yes the location was not as good, but it was much, much better
