At the end of the day, you need to ask yourself. Are you in Phuket to look at all the attractions or do you intend to stay at your resort for the entire stay. If it’s the latter, then you might want to look for another resort as this one lacks a beach front, various activities for the kids to do and so forth. HOWEVER, this resort has amazing rooms which are clean with the option for balcony to pool access. Mine also had a king bed. Enough space to swing a cat plus there is two restaurants plus a couple of activities like billiards room, kids room, spa room and cheap cocktails and cheap amazing food (which you can have room service - cocktails included). My friends stayed at the Marriot next door and that resort was huge. It had a plethora of shops, restaurants etc, but you pay through your nose for the rooms which my friends said they are tired and need a refurb. The Absolute is great value, and the money you save can be used on partying in Partong or shopping. Choice is easy I believe.
