The property is exactly like the name says THE VIEW. when booking this on Expedia it states location to beach - 10 mins walking, kata night market 10 min walk Karon beach 17 min walk. Etc. The fact is you cannot reach any of these times even driving. It’s located on a cliff that is literally a 75-80% slope. Local taxis refuse to go up it. Walking up takes 10-15 minutes. So we were forced to rent a car as there isn’t a thing close to it. We were there at 1:00 and were advised the room would be ready the day before for that time, we sat there till 4:30 to get a dirty room. No soap, no detergent etc. ( we’ve always got a small package everywhere we’ve rented). Also after we rented it through Expedia and paying for it upfront we got a message from the manager 2 days before checking in that there will be a $$$ charge for cleaning which wasn’t in the add at time of booking online. Lastly when we were checking in they also threw at us that we have to pay for electricity over and above on check out( not in description). We tried to cancel the whole reservation when we arrived with all of these inconveniences and extras but they wouldn’t refund a dollar. The pool is spectacular but only 8-10 loungers so we never used it. The view is second to none. Please know what you are in for before renting.
