August 2011 Oberer and Unterer Giglachsee lake, Schladminger Tauern View from the Steyrische Kalkspitze (alt. 2.459 m) towards the lakes in altitude 1.921 meters. Behind them is the main range of Schladminger Tauern with the reddish Rotmandlspitze (alt. 2.453 m) and the cone of Engelkarspitze (2.518 m)
August 2011 Giglachseehuette, Schladminger Tauern, Austria Giglachseehuette is located in altitude 1.950 m under the Lungauer and Steyrische Kalkspitze from west and Giglachsee lakes from east. It is a mountain hut open from June to September as most of the huts in Austrian Alps and offers overnight for 38 tourists. The view is to north via the Preunegg pass with a small glimpse of Dachstein massif.

Boris and Yesica were amazing staff. whether related to food, drink, assistance with the shuttle bus for skiing, they were so so helpful. both deserve our gratitude. they made our stay excellent. a really pleasant enjoyable palce. we're going back again.
