“Didn't realise this was a contactless hotel with no reception. I checked in later in the day after driving up from Melbourne. Didn't realise ther was no ironing board in the room. I had a function that evening and needed to iron my clothes. I sent a text message to the hotel and called but there was no answer. Thanksfully, a man arrived within 20 minutes to deliver an iron and ironing board. Other than that, and the cramped parking, my stay was great. Just request ahead of time if you need to...

“Staying at the Travelling Bishop was a highlight of my year. It was cosy, romantic and calming all at once. There has been a lot of care and attention to detail put into preserving the atmospheric charm of this church. It was easily the most comfortable sleep I have had away from home in a long time. “When we booked this place we were expecting from the description on expedia a hotel in a resort with all the facilities described. Unfortunately for us it was a suburban 2 bed unit nothing like the description. The property needs maintenance and a good clean. Some lights not working blinds were disgusting tiny bathroom cobwebs everywhere and many crawling insects. Unable to get local tv stations. Extremely disappointed for the money we paid. “Have stayed here before. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. For an older establishment, it still presents fine. The shower was nice and hot, the bed comfy enough. We were in the southern end, which was subject to the noise of the carwash next door, but with the bathroom door closed it was fine and didn't go all night anyway. Echuca is a busy place on a weekend, but there wasn't too much traffic noise etc to concern us. The hotel is conveniently placed from walkable eateries etc. I...
