Step outside and the fun continues. The private patio is your own backyard playground, complete with string lights, a fire pit, and bar area. Fire up the fire pit, gather around the fire, or challenge your friends to Connect 4. Whether you’re celebrating, relaxing, or simply enjoying a Pittsburgh evening, the backyard gives you plenty of room to make it your own.

Families are welcome, too. Board games and extra touches add fun for little ones, while the full kitchen, Nespresso and Keurig coffee makers, washer/dryer, and high-speed Wi-Fi make longer stays comfortable and convenient.

The neighborhood is walkable but notably hilly, so rideshares or a car may be more convenient when exploring the area.

Neighborhood: Troy Hill / Central North Side area — a mostly residential, historic North Side neighborhood built on a steep hillside with narrow streets and many public stairways. The immediate area features older brick rowhouses and small single‑family homes, a quiet residential vibe, and close proximity (short drive or several-block walk) to the East Ohio Street/Deutschtown business corridor with cafes, bars and neighborhood services. Getting around: The neighborhood is walkable for short trips but very hilly and includes many public stairways—good walking shoes recommended. Street parking and short residential blocks are typical. Port Authority of Allegheny County buses serve the North Side and connect to downtown; many guests use taxis, rideshares (Uber/Lyft) or personal car for convenience. Downtown is 5–10 minutes by car depending on traffic; expect longer travel times on foot due to elevation and stairs. ([](

We offer two propane refill options:

Propane Refill Service (By Request / Approval – Additional Fee)
Guests can request a propane delivery and installation for a fee. This service is not guaranteed and is best if arranged in advance.

Self-Refill (Reimbursement Available)
Guests may refill propane themselves. We will reimburse up to $30 per full tank per appliance with a valid receipt.

Filtered Water
We provide a refrigerator for your use, but we do not stock filtered water. This is because most standard refrigerator or pitcher filters do not effectively purify the water—they primarily improve taste and odor without removing many contaminants. In our own home, we use reverse osmosis (RO) filtration, which provides a much higher level of water purity. RO systems remove a wide range of impurities, including heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, and other dissolved solids that basic filters can't. When we travel, we personally purchase reverse osmosis water from the store to ensure we're drinking the cleanest water possible. If high-quality filtered water is important to you, we recommend picking up a few gallons of RO water nearby during your stay.
