We never checked into the property. Upon driving up to the property we were overwhelmed with the trash and graffiti and boarded up buildings and empty, trashy dirt lots. Not to mention the neighbors on the corner, in the doorways and on the window sills of nearby buildings on a Sunday afternoon. I now know why there was exactly ONE photo of the exterior of the property, and that from a narrow angle showing only the very front of one side of the building itself. I was told by the host that I clearly misinterpreted the listing because it is indeed in a busy, vibrant part of the city. It was certainly busy if you consider what appeared to be homeless people and the Pittsburgh Police circling the block. Along with my companions, I was not going to park my rental car in front of a boarded up building or an empty lot and have the locals watch us carry our belongings to the property. I returned the following day to take photos as requested by VRBO. A few of those are attached, as they tell part of the story. Please beware! This is NOT a property that should be sponsored and advertised on ANY website, least of all VRBO.
