Awesome and beautiful place to stay. Lori was a wonderful host. Bella sway is in a perfect location for a stay on placencia. Beach always beautiful and the house provided all we needed for our family of 7. Would definitely go back again!

Great stay at BellaSway!

Had a great time staying at Lori and John's place right on the beach! Convenient location, very easy to get around. Rooms were comfortable and the house was fully stocked with anything you could think of. They had great recommendations for local excursions as well!

Beautiful beachfront home and perfect location!

Beautiful home in the most perfect location! Walking distance to many restaurants and to the grocery store. Highly recommend Bella Sway to anyone visiting Placencia! Hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided a guest manual with all of the information needed to enjoy our stay. We would love to visit Placencia and stay here again!

Beach Bums

Bella Sway is a wonderful home with a beautiful deck to enjoy the sunrise in the morning Our host, Lori, was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. Questions were answered quickly and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and excursions. We are really looking forward to our next Beachside Belize vacation !!

Bella Sway is a beautiful home and beach. My parents loved sitting on the.porch with the wind and the waves. Lori did such a wonderful.job hosting and all the information she gave us was great! She was so kind and helpful right from the start. She answered any and all of our qiestions vey quickly.My son loved it so much he wants.to move here :) Lori helped us create a memorable vacation!!

Footsteps from the Ocean

We loved our stay at Bella Sway. It was so wonderful being able to wake up and end the day right beside the ocean. Talk about calming! Very easy to walk down the beach or hop in the car and find lovely restaurants just minutes away. It was an intimate place to share laughs, tears, memories, and stories with one another. Thank you for a beautiful visit to Belize!

Incredible Ocean Views *** Beautiful Home

We had the most lovely time relaxing at Bella Sway Belize. The home was fully stocked with all the items we needed. Beds were very comfortable and location was fantastic. Close to so many dining options! Perfect getaway to relax, soak up the sun and enjoy friends and family. Will definitely be back! The owner was so prompt in response and super accommodating! Highly recommend a stay at Bella Sway!

Amazing home and location

I highly recommend this home to families looking for a great place to stay in Placencia. Lori, the host, is so kind and helpful and the home is clean and beautiful. My family of 6 enjoyed the location as we rented kayaks in walking distance, chartered a fishing trip, and fished off the dock right at the home. It was quiet and safe and close to many restaurants and fun things to do. We were so thankful to have the extra space and bathrooms. Thank you Lori for renting us such a great home on our first trip out of the US as a family!

Nice three bedroom beach front house

Three couples enjoyed the house. Property mgr and owners... very responsive. Several excellent restaurants/pools within walking distance. Excellent air conditioning, large deck, well equipped kitchen and clean beach. Grocery store is very close, pharmacy 10 min drive. Best to have a car as it's about 40 min drive to town with a golf cart.

Unforgettable Vacay

Bella Sway was an awesome place to stay! Had everything we needed for our home-away-from-home. Comfy beds, beautiful porch overlooking the Caribbean, well-stocked kitchen for cooking up the fish we caught on an excursion. Lovely beach views. Snorkeled off the beach and spotted some manatees! We even managed a couple days of swimming despite an influx of sargassum on the last days of our trip, but that’s Mother Nature for you! Great location for walking to some fantastic local restaurants. We were grateful for the excellent guidebook that Lori and John provided. Thanks for sharing your home, we made some beautiful memories and we are already making plans for another trip!

Nice and relaxing getaway.

Everything about the property is as described and pictured, actually exceeded our expectations. We had three couples and could not have had a better accommodation. Restaurants and bars are close by. Food was very good wherever we went. The people of Belize are very friendly. We rented a golf cart for six that worked well for us. Most excursions will pick you up at the house if you request. All our water excursions were wonderful, we cruised on a catamaran, snorkeled, scuba dived and took an excursion on the monkey river. Lori is the most responsive host I have had the pleasure of working with. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future.

Beautiful home in private oasis.

Wow! What a breathtaking home. Bella Sway was a perfect location to slow down, unload the pressures of life and enjoy the opportunity to recharge. The location of the home is perfection. Steps from the ocean, the house has all the comforts of home. Enjoyed morning coffee on the veranda watching the sun sparkle the sea. Spent the day on the water and our evenings at the local restaurants. The kindness of the Belizean people was the cherry on top. 10/10 would recommend!

Blissful Experience

This was our family’s first time traveling to Belize. We are so glad we chose the Placencia and this house on Maya Beach for its laid back vibe and authentic feel. Bella Sway accommodated our family of seven perfectly, was in close proximity to yummy restaurants, and provided much needed relaxation and privacy. We appreciated all of the host’s recommendations, the well-stocked kitchen, and all the little details- beach towels, games, (especially the splash cards), fans, and more. Some of our favorite things included—-Mojo Caye trip and Cockscomb Basin through Barefoot Services, took a five minute walk down the beach to Ceiba Beach Reaort for lunch and a pool, gelato at Tutti Frutti, and the food— everything from barbecues on the beach with our guides, Maya Beach Bistro, to pineapples and mangoes from produce stands and straight from trees. Our kids splashed and snorkeled in the water out back and saw a ray, blue crab, and live sand dollars. We would definitely book Bella Sway again.

Perfect vacation home

Lori's home made for a perfect vacation. The house was very comfortable and included everything needed to make a true vacation. If there was anything needed, Lori took care of what was needed immediately. The House Manual included everything you could want to make a fun vacation, from House Rules to tours, shopping , equipment rentals. This made planning for daily excursions easy. The beach was clean with adequate beach chairs and beach towels and a washer and dryer. We would definitely rent this home again and again. Morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise couldn't be any more perfect Thanks Lori

Beautiful home in a beautiful location

We had a weeklong vacation at Bella Sway and it was just lovely! The house is well appointed with very comfortable beds, soft fluffy towels and the most spectacular view of the Caribbean sea! It was generally quiet except for the road noise, as it is close to the only road in Placencia. The vehicle noise isn’t present all the time, but it is there. There was plenty of room for 3 adults and each bedroom has it’s own bathroom. The A/C was strong (thankfully!) and the outdoor fans kept a nice breeze even with the high humidity we had while there. The kitchen had the things necessary to make some meals at home. There are tile stairs when you first enter the home to reach the main level so we were sure to have dry shoes/feet to navigate those. The beach is just yards from the house to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sea. This house is a great location if you want to have a peaceful getaway in a picturesque location!

Best vacation ever

Photos and words will not do Bella Sway justice. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and relaxed. About 10 seconds later the overwhelming beauty of the view knocked us over and we were rollicking in the waves. The house is clean, cute, and well-appointed with all the details for your stay thought out. We were party of 4 but 6 would be comfortable as well. Plenty of room to feel very private. The back decks are where we spent all of our time, soaking in the sun (or moon) on the horizon, chilling to the rhythms of the waves. The location is wonderful, with lots of amenities within walking distance (shout out to Mickey’s pool bar, and the pizza at the bowling alley). Rent a golf cart and explore the rest of Placencia. Highlights for me included a massage at the spa at Naia, fishing/snorkeling trip with “Big Fish” at Nauti By Nature, and a sunset dinner at Muna Rooftop Restaurant. The rest I’ll let you figure out for yourself. You have to see this place to believe it.

“Once in a lifetime” kind of trip

You’re a leisurely golf cart ride away from downtown Placencia and all of the bars/shops (& craft brewery!) that entails. Your porch is 20 feet from the beach. From this beach you can see every star in the sky on a clear night. You’re walking distance to restaurants, swim up bars and breakfast bistros. The home itself is built for the perfect group. A downstairs apartment (with full bathroom and kitchenette) is great for the night owls, while the 2 upstairs bedrooms and kitchen are good for hanging or getting a good night’s rest. The wrap-around porch upstairs is great for napping and reading. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I’ve traveled a decent amount and I’ve been blessed to stay in some wonderful spots, from Aspen and Austin, to London and Paris. This is up there with any of them. Snorkeling and island bars, Mayan ruins and waterfalls, zip lines and cave tubing. It’s all available and it’s all affordable. The hosts have incredible taste and great recommendations. THIS is the epitome of a rare gem. I plan on making this trip every year if I’m able.

My family loved this property! We spent most of our time lounging in and around the pool. We had family coming and going throughout our week, with up to 10 at one point, but never felt cramped. The huge dock area was good for our 21' boat and two jetskis (plenty of trailer parking space too). The downstairs ice machine, extra fridge and bait freezer were great additions. Tons of outdoor seating for early morning coffee, afternoon drinks and evening gatherings. Early and late in the day, mosquitos were an issue, but there is a screened area for seating. The house was comfy and adequately stocked. Bring extra pool towels if you have a large group; we kept the washer/dryer busy. The location is super convenient to grocery and restaurants. We walked to La Isla Taco Grill one evening. We also drove to Irie Island Eats which was my favorite meal during our visit. -- Only two minor negatives. First, the AC struggles to keep up and it was a little to temperate for some of our group (I was fine). Second, the canal (while very convenient to the open water) was pretty stagnant and lifeless. Getting our boat in and out was challenging at low tide, but doable once we figured out the route. Not sure if it's a timing thing, but we had a lot of trouble with the jetskis due to the amount of sargassum weed and shallow water in the channel. We ended up towing the skis out to cleaner/deeper water to avoid clogging the jets. All in all, we had a magical time at the property!!!

Great property!

If you are looking to experience more of what Belize is really like, and to get to know the locals, this is a great place to start. Plenty of beach clubs nearby if you want some good food and pampering but also close to good local restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed both the Placencia Beach Club and the Umaya Resort. We ate and drank all day at PBC for about $40USD PP. Wish we had tried Umaya sooner because it was a great place to spend the day. Plenty of signs saying beach and pool for guests only, but as long as you are spending $$ (and they aren't really busy) staff doesn't care. Jauguar Lanes across the street has solid pizza and drinks and was a good home base for us. Good mix of locals and expats made for a fun vibe. We did a Daytripper boat excursion with snorkeling and had a great time. Staff was fun and the lunch and rum punch were better than we anticipated. If you've never snorkeled before, take a class on your own or practice first because there wasn't any instruction beforehand. Not a big deal for our group, but for a group of beginners it might make it less enjoyable. The house itself was exactly like the pictures and was clean and comfortable with a very nice beach view with plenty of breeze. We spent every morning and evening on the deck talking and listening to the waves. Owners prepare you well for your visit with a handy info guide. We only had one minor issue while there but the property manager was on it instantly. Overall, great house!

Amazing Stay in Belize at Bella Sway

We had an awesome week at Bella Sway in Belize! The location is outstanding with a fantastic sandy beach and beautiful ocean breezes! We loved the pool clubs near by and the food was outstanding! The sunrises from the porch were spectacular! Very clean house and the owners couldn't have been more responsive! In all my years of renting vacation spots Lori was by far the most prepared host I have experienced!! I highly recommend renting Bella Sway!

Paradise!

Our stay at Bella Sway could not have been more perfect! Owners John and Lori provide resort-like amenities and no detail is overlooked. The property was spotless as well as beautiful, and the book they created for guests was invaluable. It offered detailed information on everything — from restaurants, water sports, and nightlife to contact information for reliable drivers and grocery stores. Will definitely book again!
