“This was iyr fifth stay at Joy Bungalows since 2012 and we love it! The hospitality of the staff, the bungalow (VIP by the beach), the food at the restaurant, the almost empty 2-km beach beach... This is where we go for a relaxing time! This is our paradise!”

“Eigene Bungalow am Hang im Dschungel oberhalb des Meeres. Loggia mit Hängematte. Moskitonetz in jedem Zimmer. Der Strand ist steinig, aber sehr schön. Auf der Insel ist fast nichts los, so hat man seine Ruhe (wobei wir überall in Thailand natürlich auch viele Deutsche anzutreffen sind...). Die umliegenden Restaurants sind sehr gut und günstig, das Hotelrestaurant ist eher teuer. Man muss sich auf Insekten im Zimmer einstellen, weil man direkt in der Natur ist. Kein Warmwasser in Zimmern...

“I had a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay. From the moment I arrived, it felt like a home away from home. This family-owned, villa style hotel is filled with warmth and hospitality, the people here welcomed me like family. My bungalow was absolutely beautiful, with air conditioning in the bedroom for ultimate comfort and a spacious wraparound deck that was perfect for my morning yoga sessions. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.”

“Sehr abgelegen. Ohne Auto oder Motorrad sitzt man im Hotel fest.Nach Krabi sind es über 60 km. Die Delux Zimmer waren ganz ok. Ein eigenes Thermalbecken im Aussenbereich war das einzige was gut war.Das Frühstück war sehr mager. Wer hunger hat, sollte dringend etwas mitbringen. Für das Geld etwas anderes erwartet. Alles für Muslime gedacht. ”

“Not very well. This is a great hotel if you want to stay only there during your whole stay in koh lanta. Prívate beach is not nice, very small, dark sand and many rocks. Food and drinks are very very expensive, and its your only option. Pool is lovely. If you want to see other beaches or go to the town, you will need a taxi or rent a motorbike. Rooms are very nice but they are located in a cliff, so get ready to climb A LOT”

“If your looking for a camping lifestyle then stay here. We stayed in one of the top level A frames and had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend to bring your own snacks and drinks as well as food if you are a picky eater or have dietary restrictions as the menu is very limited and there are only certain hours to order food. It is a bit out of the way so be prepared for that but if you want peace and quiet away from the crowds this is the place. Lovely beach practically private to walk...

"Nos recogían para cada excursión en un cómodo looby en el cual también reservamos algunas de ellas. La piscina se agradece después de los días de excursión y el desayuno es abundante y para todos los gustos. Efectivamente es el hotel que más nos ha parecido un resort."

"El hotel esta increíble, tienes que ir mentalizado a que es un hotel en la mitad de la nada no es de lujo es para vivir una experiencia con la naturaleza, mi único comentario es que la persona que está en la recepción debería ser más servicial y amable y también que pongan mosquiteros en donde se dan los masajes, todo lo demás espectacular y considera que la comida y bebida deberán comprarse en el hotel porque solo puedes salir en lancha de ahí "

Very good accommodation option in Ao Nang

"Perfect location close to the beach and the pier. Calm area away from main street. Excellent breakfast: wide selection of everything. The staff is really nice. The rooms are spacious and confortable though a bit dated. Even though there are many families with children, we had a room away from the area of activities and it was not an issue at all. The only negative point is for the rooms (like ours) that had the balcony on the oposite side of the swimming pools as there is a sweage river that stinks. We basically couldn't use the balcony."

"Decepcionante y nada recomendable Mi experiencia en este hotel ha sido muy negativa. Desde el momento en que entramos a la habitación, notamos que la limpieza dejaba bastante que desear. Las instalaciones estaban en muy mal estado: el suelo estaba manchado, la madera del espejo y las puertas estaban descoloridas y descorchadas en varias zonas, lo que daba un aspecto descuidado y nada acogedor. El aire acondicionado fue un gran problema. Aunque el mando permitía cambiar los modos y ajustar la temperatura, en realidad no surtía efecto: el aire siempre salía igual, frío y directo a la cara al estar ubicado encima de la cama. Esto resultó extremadamente incómodo y nos hizo imposible dormir. Además, el aparato hacía un ruido constante que nos dejó sin descanso durante las dos noches que estuvimos allí. El baño tampoco estuvo a la altura. El water no recargaba agua correctamente, y en más de una ocasión no pudimos ni tirar de la cadena. Una noche tuvieron que venir a desatascarlo, pero lo peor fue que después de hacerlo, ni siquiera limpiaron la zona. Gimnasio sin aire acondicionado. En resumen, la experiencia ha sido pésima. No recomendaría este hotel a nadie, ya que el estado de las instalaciones y la limpieza dejan mucho que desear. "
