“Had a lovely short break at The Imperial Hotel. It's a lovely old hotel, which is a little tired in places, but is otherwise well looked after. Room was spacious and had everything I needed - wifi worked perfectly, allowing me to get some work done. Could do with a new mattress in the room I was in and the pillows were too soft for me, but that is a personal preference. “Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at. The desk is scarcely manned. The phone just rings and rings. A sign in lugubrious English is left out for those already at the hotel with a mobile number on it, but those who are trying to call in advance are damned. There is a stench of damp in the hallway. The room is small, dark and unclean. Not recommended by any stretch of the imagination.”

Only received a refund when we complained and pointed out that had I come and just bought a coffee I would have been eligible for free parking as I would have been considered to be a customer. But not considered to be a customer when staying overnight. ”
