Overall, our stay was pleasant, particularly regarding the room, cleanliness, and general comfort, which were all at a good standard.
That said, the food and beverage services were clearly the weakest part of the experience. As a Costa Rican who has lived in the United States for many years and returned home on vacation with my wife, I must say that the quality of the coffee was surprisingly poor for a hotel in Costa Rica, a country internationally recognized for its excellent coffee.
Additionally, the food did not meet expectations. The gallo pinto, in particular, was not representative of the traditional Costa Rican dish, neither in preparation nor in flavor. For visitors hoping to experience authentic local cuisine, this may be disappointing.
Finally, the prices for food were quite high considering the overall quality offered. With some improvements in the culinary experience and a better focus on local authenticity, this hotel could significantly enhance the value of its services.
