“This is a great place to stay- central location to surrounding areas, shopping and eateries in Petone. We used parking facility and felt this was a great option due to limited parking in area. We felt very safe in this facility. Staff are very polite and helpful. Our room was very clean and noted some cracked tiles in bathroom which have been highlighted with management. We will definitely stay there again”

“Located nicely! It’s a really good motel for such a cheap price! Clean rooms and spacious room! Love that it has a parking space for your car as well! Check in is supposed to be till 9pm but we arrived at 10pm - but the owner/manager kindly waited for us to arrive. The kitchennete is so big and had everything! The beds are so comfy and plenty of pillows! They have a big cabinet for you to pur your stuff in and plenty of hangers! Taking off some stars because in our room there was a bad smell...

“Everything I needed, clean and tidy.”

“On the info it said "Park in front..." we had to park behind our rooms. It would have been easier if there was a second step leading into the room off the footpath. Good to have a games room, but not much variety of games. Our boys lost a coin in one (Table Ice Hockey) as it didn't work and couldn't find the table tennis balls. The beds were ok, but mattresses did not have much support, you could feel the base slats through the mattress. Also the mattresses were lower than the height of the...

“The room has a very small heater, the room was so cold.”

“The unit was very dated and not well maintained. Carpet appeared to be new. Although the unit wasn't dirty, the cleaning wasn't up to scratch. Backs of doors were dirty, cobwebs around windows, hair in drawers and mold around windows. One small heater for the whole unit. There were no spare pillows or blankets available. Good location with plenty of space in the unit though.”

“Rooms weren't very clean, lock broke on door trying to lock it, didn't see staff”

“The room was quite cold and a little damp. Blinds were all down so no natural light. One heat pump in lounge so bedroom was cold. Only one blanket on bed with no extras in the cupboard. No Wifi for the kids. No remote for the TV (limited sky TV access - one channel). Cockroach on the wall had to be killed and disposed of. No frying pan when cooking breakfast and no scrubbing brush to clean dishes or dish rack to stack them. Pretty average to poor compared to other places.”

“I always try and stay here when I’m in Wellington but wow the property is starting to age. Tiles coming away in the shower, damaged sinks, frayed bedding and damaged carpets at entryways and stains everywhere. It really needs an upgrade already. Not worth what they charge anymore even though the location is amazing and the overall vibe is still awesome. ”
