“Stayed in this lovely, newly refurbished motel in Collingwood recently. Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. “It's a charming off grid stay, perfect to unplug and explore the area from, or use the tracks on site or just chill out and enjoy the hot tub and it's beautiful surroundings, under the stars in the evening is wonderous, it's a magnificent spot and hosted by lovely friendly people. Oh and Alpacka's are a bonus treat to enjoy walking with or watching ”

“Tidy cottage. Showing age and has partial do ups. Curtains needed more hooks as barely hanging. Cutlery draw needs cleaning and improved. No TV but excellent wifi. Shower has excellent water flow but no hair shampoo. ”

“Very clear instructions on how to get there. Awesome truck with lots of cute details. Alpacas happily wondering around the truck was so cool as was hand feeding them. The outdoor bath so lovely and relaxing. The best for me was no beeping and dinging of technology unless you went to deck of the main house at set times. ”
