The reality of the island is far from what is advertised: ​No Beach: The beach in front of the hotel no longer exists; it has been completely washed away by the sea. Instead of sand, you will find a long line of sandbags along the coast trying to stop the erosion. ​Dead Coral Reef: The reef right in front is completely dead. “Beautiful resort at beautiful Palm Cove. Great location. Three great swimming pools. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff made us feel very welcome. 30 minute trip into Cairns. Car is handy to have, otherwise the local bus service.”

“My second time staying here and couldn’t recommended more. Staff is helpful, the room is perfectly clean and has everything you need, the bed is super comfy! Parking is free and the pool has a nice temperature. The property is very close to Trinity Beach and the neighborhood is safe. I will stay here again.”

“Very spacious and comfortable accommodation in an excellent location just a short stroll to the beach and a whole host of great places to eat or just grab a coffee. The walls are a little thin but luckily we had nice quiet neighbours and overall we really enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable and the pool looked lovely though we didn’t go in. Outdoor kitchen was really useful.”

“Since we arrive Cedric helped us out with the check in. We arrived late at night because of a delay flight. We were tired and Cedric made sure we had a smooth and fast check in so we could get to rest. He was friendly and nice. In the reception there was Avril, she was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. She helped us with all our tour booking, gave us recommendations, helped us with our transportation.
