  • Newly renovated beach house with direct access to private beach just across the street! Stairs sit at top a bluff with panoramic views of Manomet Beach. House is child and dog friendly with fully fenced in yard, massive deck, large sun room, screened in porch and patio and very private, relaxing and peaceful backyard. Sleeps 8 comfortably and more with pull out sofas. Amenities include Weber grill and double sized beverage refrigerator, newly renovated kitchen has granite counter tops and new appliances. On one of the most scenic roads in Plymouth and great for walking, running and biking. Beach access is three houses to the right of our property via a gradual path followed by stairs. Short drive to many restaurants, shops and historic Plymouth Center. Ocean views from the house and yard. Let your memories begin here!

Wonderful stay

Excellent vacation

As many have said, the house is wonderful and incredibly well stocked. We didn’t have to bring a single beach item with us from home. Jeanne was a pleasure and the week couldn’t have been better. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Family Friendly Beach Stay

We had such a wonderful week here! The place was clean and well stocked. It was a perfect spot for our two dogs and 10 month old baby. Everything in the house was baby and dog friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The beach is a little slice of paradise. Will definitely be coming back here to stay!

10 out of 10. Perfect for families. the fenced in yard is great for pets or young children. convenient to beach. Watch the sunrise from front window or porch. Extremely clean and well kept. Jeanne was communicative and helpful as our stay approached and throughout. Stocked with everything you need on vacation. The downstairs beverage fridge was great, the patio, deck and yard was very convenient to grill and relax. Wish we could have stayed another week!

Spacious & with everything one needs!

Our favorite Vrbo property that we've stayed in over the past several years. The house has so many rooms & is bright even on a rainy day because of the many large windows. The beach was never crowded & is picturesque. The fenced in yard was great for my 2 year old grandson as was the playroom in the basement. The surrounding area was quiet & quaint but 15 minutes away is Plymouth Center if more activities are desired!

Plymouth vacation

5 stars are not enough to rate this house. It is perfect! The house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and has multiple great gathering locations. I stayed with my husband and our 2 tweens but the house could easily fit more people. Our dog loved the fenced in yards and had plenty of space to run around. And the beach is gorgeous!!! It is right across the street. There is plenty of room, it's very quiet, and the water is clear. We cannot wait to go back!!

Awesome week

Our family had an awesome stay at Jeanne's house. It fit our entire family of 9 quite amazingly. The house was spotless upon arrival, the beds were really comfortable, there was an abundance of towels (both beach and bathroom), and the kid toys as well as beach accessories (chairs, etc.) were a plenty. The walk to the beach was extremely doable with our 4 young kids and the beach was so relaxing. I loved how quiet it was, not crowded like the park and pay beaches. The outdoor space at Jeanne's house was incredible...the large deck/table fit all of us and the downstairs sunroom was a gem. I was really thankful this place allowed dogs, because it was perfect for him too.

Beautiful Home, Great Location

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful, well stocked and exceptionally clean home. Jeanne was a fantastic host- very thoughtful and responsive. You could tell she put a lot of thought and love into renovating this house, making it both child and pet friendly. There were many outdoor and indoor games including a Thomas the Train set, beach toys and many safety features. The beautifully finished lower level allowed for a more secluded area, perfect for family members who needed to work virtually. The fenced in yard was ideal for the kids and the dog. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly and the private beach across the street was just beautiful. The location was perfect for our extended family- close to many attractions, lots of good restaurants, golf courses and shopping. Highly recommend! We hope to return next summer!

Fantastic week at the beach with family!

Jeanne and Kevin thought of all the details that made our stay both comfortable and memorable. The cottage was clean, well appointed, and very spacious even with a full house. We were 9 people of all ages, and it didn't feel cramped because of all the seating and indoor/outdoor dining areas. The cottage is right across the street from a beautiful beach. We spent afternoons enjoying the sand, waves and sun. It felt like we had the beach to ourselves unlike other beaches we've been to that can get very crowded, which we appreciated. We brought paddleboards to use during our stay and the water was perfect, not too choppy and with beautiful views of Cape Cod Bay. Just be sure to keep an eye on the tides. A super handy tide chart was provided for our reference. Thanks, Jeanne and Kevin, for making us feel at home while on vacation. We can't wait to return to the cottage!

Simply Amazing!!

The house was pristine, everything we needed was right there! The beach was amazing and the littles loved catching hermit crabs. The game closet and all the toys were a definite plus for my 7 and 4 year old. The only complaint I heard the whole vacation was from my husband and father that the Ketchup at Fenway was worst haha. 100% would stay again!

End of summer escape

We couldn’t have been happier to spend a week here! We have a mobile 11-month old and a 3 1/2 year old, and my in-laws joined us as well. I knew this property would be perfect for our family when I saw the pictures of the Thomas the Tank Engine station in the family room downstairs! In all honesty, everything about the house is so well appointed for a family with young children. In addition to the amenities listed, the Rumseys provided instructions and recommendations for the house itself, nearby restaurants, emergency providers, transportation options, grocery stores and even the tide schedule for the month (very helpful since the water comes right up to the sea wall at high tide). Also tucked away in the house is a full size high chair, two pack n plays, a cot, all of the tracks and engines in Sodor, and a closet full of board games, puzzles and toys. For the adults, we couldn’t have been happier with the multiple options for indoor and outdoor dining as well as happy hour. A quick stop at Luke’s Liquor just down the road is a great way to stock the beverage fridge downstairs! The yard is completely enclosed so it was easy to watch the kids play and relax. We played bocce in the front yard one afternoon while our youngest crawled around exploring. The stairs to the beach just up the road are an adventure but very manageable if you go slowly and pay attention to your footing. A very sweet neighbor even helped my mother in law and I up with our stuff one day when he saw us coming up with my older son. Staying in Manomet gave us a great week of memories! Jeanne couldn’t have been more gracious or responsive ahead of arrival or during our stay. Thank you so much!

Great Getaway

Loved the property. Very well maintained and fully stocked. I have 4 year old twins and they loved the train set that was there! Kept them occupied for hours when we weren’t at the beach. It was like having your own private beach. Loved be able to take my dog too and was able to walk on the beach with my dog as well. Jeanne was very responsive and attentive to any and all needs during our stay and after too! Thank you Jeanne! We loved it!

Perfect family get away!

We were so happy to find this gem! We were coming to the area to enjoy the beach and reconnect with family and Jean’s home was the perfect place for us. So close to the beach and plenty of room with a big fenced in yard for our dogs. The house was clean and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Week in Manomet!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Plymouth. This home is exceptionally clean, very well appointed with everything one could possibly need on vacation including items and toys for small children. We traveled with our adult children and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy gathering together or retreating for quiet time. The private beach is a hidden gem - it is a bit rocky in certain areas but truly perfect especially for young children playing in the calm waters and making sandcastles. We took long walks on the beautiful beach every day. The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and every neighbor we met was friendly. The distance to the Plymouth Waterfront is an approximate 10-15 minutes drive. The owners are wonderful and responded quickly to our questions.

Great week

Perfect setting for our vacation! The kids loved playing downstairs with the trains. The house had everything we needed. You don’t need to bring beach chairs, toys or towels! The steps to the beach are a workout. Perfect stay! Would recommend this lovely home to anyone. Although if you can’t do stairs easily it may be difficult. My 88yo dad would have have a difficult time if he had been able to go. He could have walked from the front door to the backyard where this is a big enclosed patio/dining area. Would stay here in a heartbeat!!!! Perfect family vacation house. Even when it rained one day, we all enjoyed spending time in the house together!

Family Beach Vacation

We stayed for a week with our 2 small dogs, my son and his wife and 2 grandsons (age 2 and 6). The house is very clean, the bedding is quality, kitchen has everything that you need to cook for a family and the outdoor area was beautiful. A huge advantage for a young family or multi-generational family visit is the large fenced in back yard with a walk out 4 season room, huge upper deck, screened in porch and walking distance from a beautiful, private beach. The house also has inside and outside toys for children which were much enjoyed by my grandsons - especially the train set! My son and his wife were able to get some time alone every evening by having us babysit when the kids went to sleep and walking down to the beach with their beach chairs and nice bottle of wine. I was so happy to be able to give them that much needed time and experience. I would highly recommend this stay for a family of any age or combination, Plymouth Plantation and the town center are also very close and provide other activities for families - as well as a wonderful market and several restaurants.

Awesome framily vaca!

4 adults and 4 kids ages 5-10 had an awesome week away! This is a beautiful and spacious house where we all had plenty of space to spread out. The beach is amazing, clean, swimable, and great for seaglass collecting. Downtown plymouth is a short drive away with some coffee shops, wine bars, shopping, historical hoopla, and a well known (albeit underwhelming ;) ) rock. Walk the jetty downtown, bring a crabtrap for the kids (don't eat the green ones!), and take way too many pictures at the decorated fiberglass shells and lobsters around town. Owners are amazingly responsive and go to great lengths for their guests to have a wonderful time away.

Fantastic!

The owners put a lot into this renovation. Red White and Blue throughout the cottage. Very Clean. Backyard perfect for kids and dog. Fenced in. We brought our Corgi. He loved it. Deck is awesome. Very nicely decorated, great location, so clean

Lots of care clearly went in to the remodel of this home, the red , white, and blue beach motif is super tasteful and fun. Home makes great use of every available space, our favorite was the back 4 season room for relaxing. So close to the water with a view out the front , nice part of town. Overall a terrific stay.

Perfect Beach House

This house is located on a quiet residential street. It has everything you need, and the owner is super friendly and communicative. The best feature for us was the completely fenced in front and back yards, perfect for kids and pets. If you are considering renting this house, do not hesitate. Your family will not regret it.

Family Friendly Accommodations

This was absolutely the perfect property for our crew! We were traveling with some extended family and our two children under 2 years old, so it’s not easy to find a house that fits everyone’s needs. This one exceeded all our expectations! The homeowners clearly have put a lot of love into this home which was beautifully updated and decorated. We had all the modern amenities we could ask for, as well as an assortment of accommodations for the little ones. They already had a child gate installed at the stairs, a child-friendly bedroom, and several bins of toys (much to my daughter’s delight!). The fenced yard made for a great play area for my daughter on sunny days and we even found a collection of bibs and sippy cups in the kitchen. The location of the home was very close to the beach and my mother enjoyed sunrise walks along it every morning. The only caution I have for parents is that the entrance to the beach is a very long and steep staircase, so it won’t be very accessible for small children like mine. However, it is a short drive to many other public beaches and we had no problem packing the kids up and visiting several during our stay. Overall, we found the house at Manomet to be the perfect setting for some truly cherished family memories.
