“This property is old but quaint. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom has an old-time sink and there is no flat space for the things you use in the bathroom. We were on the second floor of three but there is no elevator. The breakfast choice was unique and great. You receive a certificate for a local restaurant. Overall we would stay again.”

“I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days.
We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room.

“Pictures of the property/rooms are a lot nicer vs being there in person. Smoking is allowed on the property, right in front of rooms/on the porch. In the pool area. If you want a breath of fresh sea air- do it on the beach b/c it won’t happen there. I could smell it through my door, that when shut, let light in- not a tight seal. The parking lot is tight!!! Spots aren’t assigned (numbered) per room, so you have to fight for a spot, 1 guest had to park on the street for the night. My bed was...
