I fell down the tiny old stairs. No coffee pot. Empty vending machines. Tiny TV with limited cable. No cars in the lot when I arrived, my clue that I should have left. Cut my losses and double booked a better room in a nice hotel that had everything for a little bit more money.

The property is in need of an update and basic repairs. For instance, my door hand was not lockable. Someone had obviously broken in and the never repaired the door jamb. Thankfully there was a deadbolt which i could lock. Security wise, every window was un locked, a common set up for theives on ground floor rentals. They rent the room for a night and leave the windows unlocked, then the unsuspecting new occupant heads out to dinner or maybe the boardwalk only to come back and find all their valuables gone. Thank you for the information, but so wish you would have came to us while you were here. You happen to be here on a holiday weekend, and the door you are speaking about was damaged a day before and we did try to repair it before you arrived, but we did not have the correct person to do so. We tried to get help but as I stated it was a holiday weekend. But we are a very safe motel, and yes the windows are unlocked for guest to decide if they want fresh air or not. The manager reside here and has always been safe. You were more than welcome to lock your windows...Thank you for staying with us. again, apologize for the situation

We are sorry about the shower, but the water does need to be ran for a bit, they are not used everyday, all day so it does take some time for the water to get hot in all the rooms.

We did have towel hooks are the doors, and also over the door ones. I am sorry the room you had was missing it.. But all rooms did have them. Please if you ever visit again just ask, we would have been more then happy to have replaced them. We apologize

Very disappointing to have a pool that did not open on a gorgeous Saturday morning in august until 10 am, my Expedia reservation was not in their system, very upsetting, thankfully had room. Clean nice rooms. Close walk to Boardwalk. Biggest complaint is pool.

Sorry that you thought our pool was locked and closed but it was open. If there was an issue with the lock the office staff would have helped you. I was here on the property that morning and guests were in the pool that morning. Sorry for the confusion.

This was our 2nd time staying here because we enjoyed it so much the first time. Got upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost....room was so clean, staff was friendly and gave recommendations on where to eat. Pool on site and so close to the boardwalk....we will definitely be back next year!

First the floor had sand all over when we arrived, the room smelled muggy/wet they had air fresheners in the room which didn't help at all. The water pressure was TERRIBLE! lastly ants and ants everywhere were actually crawling on us a few times. the lady who checked us in was ok nice, the one who checked us out wasn't too pleasant, definitely won't be back there.

Very sorry you did not have a positive stay but as I checked all of your paperwork, there was not one thing told to the front desk the entire time you stayed with us. IF you were not happy with the room , why would you not come to the office. We would have been more than happy to do what we had to , to make your stay more comfortable. I dont understand why you would wait to leave and than write such a negative review about the property, if you didnt say anything when you were here. This could have been taking care of. as far as sand, we clean every room everyday, we sweep and vacuum and mop. Every room is a little humid, do to the fact our water table is very high here, you are 1.5 blks away from the Ocean, and a block away from a lake, so yes the do get damp, but again if you would have came to the office we could have helped with that. Ants are something we have all summer, we have sprayed professionally , also have traps around the property. Again another issue which we could have helped with.. This would not have been a negative review, if you would have given us a chance. And every other guest at the same time you were here, have all positive remarks. So I am sorry that You had a bad experience. But we appreciate all of our guests suggestions, complaints, praise. You are all equal to us. You are all treated the same.

Nice clean, quiet rooms.close to the beach/boardwalk and restaurants. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. This was our second year staying here and will not be our last.

Beautiful shore spot
Lovely place, especially compared to other motel options around. Room was freshly cleaned when we checked in and was tidy and organized. Great location, 7 minute walk to the boardwalk. Front office people were friendly in person but a little short and rude-ish over the phone. However this is NJ, so it could have just been me hah.

Very clean.
Very clean, but minimal amenities. The manager was on top of things and made sure that grandma and papa had an adjoining room to grandkids and family without asking for that option. Warning to partiers; management does NOT tolerate ANY infraction of the rules, so maybe look into something more your speed. As old people traveling with family, we liked it just fine.

Perfect for a quick trip
Pelican Point is a quick walk from the center of the boardwalk. It is quiet and pretty clean- ideal for a brief stay at a great location.

the mattresses on beds were VERY OLD AND UNCOMFORTABLE! No one there to let us register when we arrived, just a note with a number to call then the lady wasn't able to get there until 20 minutes later. only good thing was it was nice and clean. i would never recommend this motel or ever stay there again. can't believe it had a 4 star rating on your web site. just proves you can't believe any thing you read on these websites.

I'm sorry you felt your stay was not what you expected but as advertised check in time is at 3pm. The office opened at 2pm. Your arrival time was 1pm. That was why we were not there. We were not aware that you felt this way about the bed. The office would have accommodated you with another room to have made your stay more comfortable. We do apologize .

Hi thank you for the review, it is appreciated. I apologize if it seemed musty. We will figure out a way to get rid of that. We do have RID in the rooms for that, but I think when the rooms are just opened and redone for season there might be that Beach/Ocean odor. Which does go away after they are in use a few days, also could have been from the AC.. all rooms are cleaned from ceiling to floor, every nook, every item. including the air condition units, the filters are cleaned through out the year, but just putting the ac on that could have been it also. We do apologize

We stayed here for the first time this past weekend. It was an easy walk to the beach and boardwalk, the staff was so friendly and sweet. The place is a true beach motel with all it's coziness. We had a great time!

Room was small but very clean and decorated nicely. We went off season so the office was usually closed although, the door posted a phone number for any problems. Someone was there to help on the property.

A lovely room
I was in town for a wedding just down the street. The room was lovely and small but enough space for what I needed. A little disappointed about no coffee maker and the window A/C was not working properly.

Super close walk to the beach and boardwalk. The rooms were small but clean. Nice size fridge and a microwave too which was cool. The manager was very kind and accommodating. We were allowed to stay parked all day on the day we checked out, which saved us money we would’ve had to spend on beach parking. Very expensive but that’s normal for the area.

Not a great place to stay
The motel staff was completely rude.We were unable to get or own ice. We had to wait for staff to get it. after7.30pm we couldn't get it at all. We couldn't get coffee in the morning unless the office open. We had to leave the property to smoke. Understandably it was a nonsmoking room. We were not allowed to bring any drinks around the pool area. We were so disappointed we had to leave early. We will Never go back there again... The upside was that the room was very clean and the location to the boardwalk was close.
