We loved it so much all the nature all the beautiful things to see just being off the grid felt so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely will stay here again. Thank you so much to Dawn! “We had a great stay! The host does a great job providing everything you need for a very unique experience staying near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The surrounding area is dark with some rough roads, but it is worth it given this excellent stay. ”

It also had everything you’d need to keep groceries and cook a meal since it’s a bit of a jaunt to “civilization.” Keith was friendly when you’d see him around, but not super responsive to messages. ”

“We had great directions and notes left by host which made finding the cabin easy with little cell reception.We got there a little early and enjoyed the grounds, hiking and checking out the river and waterfalls.The host found us on the property and let us know our cabin was ready for early check in which was great and very accommodating because we got a nap in before going to our event we had to attend.Very helpful and responsive. “The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night. “The cabin was wonderful and cozy! It was very private and feel like you have the island to yourself. It was close to Volcano national National park which is something we were looking for when finding a place to stay. The host was so kind and communicative.”

“A great deal and situated on Alicia drive south of the Kailua-Kona nightlife district. The place was clean and comfortable and very attractively priced. Definitely the Hawaiian Hale experience! The landlord was very nice and obviously invested in our having a pleasant stay. To access the unit younger to climb a stairwell - don't rent this unit if you are unable to handle stairwells or have small (mobile not babies!) children. Perfect for a couple!
